They both said at the same time.

They both took deep breaths.

"You really like me?" he muttered.

She nodded, looking down.

He walked closer to her, lifted up her chin, thumb on her cheek, and whispered,

"I like you too"

She felt her heart flutter, and her stomach fill with butterflies.

Then she smiled.

I sighed happily as I plop down on my bed.

Nothing had happened after.

We just went home.

Thomas is gonna freak out-

Thomas, I have to tell Thomas!

I ran downstairs, put my shoes on, and ran to Thomas's house.

He lived around the corner, so it wasn't far.

Once I got there I knocked on the door.

"Hello Will, how ar-" Thomas's mom started.

"Is Thomas here?" I asked.

"Oh, yes, he just came back-" she smiled

"Thank you!" I ran upstairs.

I knocked on the doors frantically.

"Come in!" I heard.

"Meandponyboyconfessedourfeeling towardseachothernothinghappened though" I rambled.

"Huh?"

I took a deep breath.

"Wait, all I heard was, ponyboy, feelings, me, and happened, so I-" he cut himself off by gasping.

"I knew it, I knew!" He shouted.

"I knew since the day you ate shit, right on the ground!"

"Hey!" I hit his shoulder.

He grabbed my arm and sat me down on the bed.

"Did anything else happen" he whispered.

"Why are we whispering"

"I don't know, but that not the point" he smiled.

"No, nothing happened"

"How'd he tell you," he asked smiled largely.

I told him how I went to the treehouse how he called me pretty.

"You guys confessed your feelings in a treehouse he asked, with a confused look on his face.

"Yes, what's wrong with that"

"Nothing, just I thought it would be a bit more romantic you know"

I nodded.

I stayed for a bit, then left back home. I made it home just in time.

I went upstairs to get ready for dinner.
