"Hey, um, I've never seen your dad around your house, does he work or, you know, you don't have to tell me-" ponyboy started.

"Nah it's fine, you told me something about you so I'll tell you something about me" will said.

"He left when I was young, we don't why, he just... did," she told him.

"Oh"

"Do you miss him?" He asked.

"Sometimes, but I have my mom, so" she smiled at him.

"Yeah, your moms cool"

We spent the next hour, eating and talking.

"Hey will, I've been wanting to ask you something" he began, sitting up, which made me follow.

"Yeah, what's up?"

He took a deep breath.

"Do you wanna be my girlfriend?" he asked.

Wait, wait, wait, did I hear that correctly.

"Did you say, girlfriend?" She asked.

"Uh yeah," he said with a worried look on his face.

"So?"

"Yes," she finally said.

His smile grew wide.

He leaned in, grabbed the side of her face, and kissed her.

She put one hand on his arm, and one behind his neck.

"not bad horse boy, not bad" she muttered, pulling away.

He just laughed and pulled her back into the kiss.
