The other day, for the first time in however long, my family went to the park. After we ate, we went to explore the playground nearby.

And you know, as I climbed onto that platform a sense of nostalgia hit me. I slid down one of the slides and went back to do it again. Of course, my practical side tried to tell me this was ridiculous and all that nonsense. That it was childish.

But I shoved it aside and ignored it. Sometimes it is good to be like a child again. Did not Christ say that you have to be like a child to enter the kingdom of heaven?

I never want to loose that side of me. That side of adventure and innocence. Before I knew that shootings could happen. Before I knew the twisted darkness that this world has.

But you know what this world also has? It has fun, and joy, and laughter. And we must remember, in the darkest of times, that those things are just as real as despair, pain, and fear. They are as real, if not more real.
