Dear Diary,
I was walking down the street today when I saw a little boy.
Now, don't get me wrong, I've seen plenty of young kids wandering the streets. None just never caught my eye like he did.
His eyes were bright, filled with joy and content. His lips were turned up in a darling grin that radiated glee.
And in his hands, he clutched a tiny, red balloon.
Why did I notice him?
His innocence.
His sincerity.
Things I lost.
Things I will never get back.
Yours truly, with love,
Holly
