Tyler's POV:

The rest of the trip really was a blur. It went by so quickly that it wasn't until the day before we left that it really settled in that we would be returning back to the states and back to school. That was something i definitely wasn't looking forward to.

"Troye, are you okay?" I whispered. It was late at night, and the two of us were laying in his bed together. Everyone else had already gone to sleep.

"Yeah. I think I am, at least," he replied after a minute of no response.

"Are you sad that we're going back?" I pried.

"I mean, yeah, but it was going to happen eventually." I could practically sense the sleepiness from his voice.

"Aren't you going to miss Thalia and your family?" I knew I wasn't making it any better, but I had to know.

"Of course, but i have you. That's all I really need, right?"

I could feel a smile stretching across my face. I moved over so that my arms were wrapped around him. "Thanks, baby," I whispered, leaning down and pecking him on the cheek.

"Promise that nothing will change when we go back?" he asked.

"What could possibly change?" I asked. However, he didn't respond. We both just ended up falling asleep.

"Troye! Tyler! Wake up!" I heard Sage call. I opened my eyes, greeted by the unwelcome sunlight that blinded me. I heard Troye groan from exhaustion and leaned over him again.

"Come on, babe. We have a flight to catch."

"5 more minutes," he whined. I shook my head, and threw my leg up so that I was straddling his waist. "Tyluh!"

"Come on babe!"

He huffed, opening his eyes. "Fine. But I hate you."

"Uh huh sure you do." I got off of Troye and grabbed the suitcase that I had packed the night before. I dressed in sweat pants and a t-shirt. By time I was ready, Troye was too.

We walked downstairs where his entire family was waiting for us. Sure me and his family might not have started out on the right foot, but they felt like my own family now. "Oh, we'll miss you Tyler," Laurelle fussed. "Promise you'll come back? I hope we didn't scare you away!"

I laughed lightly. "Only if you'll have me."

She nodded her head eagerly. We rounded the corner to find Thalia waiting for us. "I thought I'd drive you to the airport," she explained. "... If that's okay with you."

The two of us nodded our heads. Troye walked back and gave each of his family members meaningful hugs. "I'll see you in a few months, okay?" he told them.

Thalia was already outside waiting in her car. "So, are you boys excited?" she asked as she started driving.

"As excited as we can be to go back to a school where we're constantly bullied," Troye whined.

"Hey," I began "don't worry about that, okay? We're going to get through this."

He nodded his head at me and looked down at his hands. We pulled into the airport and Thalia popped the trunk so we could grab our bags. When we had them all and were about to turn away, Thalia stopped us. "Promise me you two will be okay?" she asked.

I glanced over at Troye. "I promise," I whispered.

He smiled sweetly back at me. "I promise we'll be okay."

WHAT HAPPENED?

The two boys stayed together. The rest of the year was great for them. They grew closer and closer. As the summer approached, Tyler lost complete contact with his mother. Her boyfriend would not allow them to speak anymore.

Instead of going home to Michigan to be with her over the summer, he went back to Australia with Troye. There, the two of them and Thalia had an amazing summer to remember.

Caspar didn't return to the boarding school. His parents didn't want him to be around Tyler and Troye anymore because they thought they were bad for him. Caspar moved back to South Africa with his family.
