Tyler's POV:

Troye was really confusing me. So were my emotions. Everything was confusing me. The way he said bye to me when we split was... loud. It was like he would genuinely miss me. I mean, of course, I'm just such a missable person, but still.

I walked to drama class, my mind never straying from the tall, brown haired boy. When I got there, I was surprised to discover that I was one among three boys in the class. All of the others must have already dropped it. Today was the first day drama was combined with our sister school. I was even more surprised to discover that Jazz, Troye's student nurse, was in the class. He was going to be so jealous. I went over and sat next to her.

"Hey Jazz," I said.

"Oh, hey Tyler." She motioned over to the two girls sitting on the other side of her. "This is Haley and Ashley."

The three of us exchanged hellos. Finally, class began. The teacher was, not surprinsigly, a young woman from our sister school who appeared to have no interest in being here. "You know, I was almost casted in Mamma Mia!" she said. "I was supposed to have a career!" Throughout the rest of the class, she dragged on and on about her life and issues. Jazz and I would exchange glances every so often.

At the end of class, she didn't even bother dismissing us. Everyone bolted out the door immediately. I said goodbye to Jazz, Haley and Ashley and checked my schedule to see what class was next. It was actually lunch. I took out my phone and texted Troye. "Lunch at my place?"

He texted back within the minute. "Yeah. Meet you there."

I smiled, walking back to Elka's house with the same goofy grin on my face. However, it quickly died when I got another text from Troye.

"Help."

I didn't know what to do or what was happening. Where was he and I why would he need help? Instead of texting him, I called him. Nobody picked up, so I started sprinting down the path to the building chorale was held in. He was nowhere to be seen.

"I'm at your place. Where are you?" another text said.

My eyebrows furrowed. Something suspicious was going on. "Can I call you?" I texted back. I wasn't sure if it actually was Troye.

There was no response, which lead me to believe that someone had actually stolen Troye's phone. Knowing this, I still walked up to Elka's house with my own phone in hand, ready to dial her if anything went wrong. At this time in the day, she would be expecting me to come home for lunch. Even though she's an old lady, she still would be able to help me if anything went wrong.

I could have seen him heading over to me from a mile away. Brian. But he had company this time, and it wasn't Brent. No. It was Troye. Had Troye been playing me this whole time? Was he always working with Brian? No. That wasn't possible. They wouldn't  go as far to beat him up and kick him out of Campbell just to get to me.

Brian was dragging Troye by his shirt, which also lead me to believe that Troye hadn't in fact betrayed me. They were both carrying similar notebooks with musical octaves on the cover. Of course. They were in the same chorale class.

Once they reached me, I was able to pluck up the courage to speak. "Honestly, why are you so obsessed with me?"

"Obsessed?" he scoffed. "With you? In your dreams, Oakley. Actually, it might just be. But I'm not here to talk about your homoerotic dreams."

"Then what are you here for?" I demanded.

"I personally wanted to be the one to tell you that Troye will in fact still be joining the crew."
