Tyler's POV:

The next two days were anything but enjoyable. I mean, yeah, I was used to having nobody to talk to, but when you know that you have a friend in the medical wing, you can't help but feel a bit anxious about it. Those days went about exactly as I expected them to. I was teased and ignored. There was never any other option for me.

When school let out after that second day, though, I knew everything was about to change. I went to Troye's room in the medical wing just like I had done the other two days. "So are you ready?" I asked him. The stitches were now out of his head. Luckily, he only needed two.

He nodded his head eagerly, excited to finally stand up. Jasmine and the doctor refused to let him stand before those days were up, telling him that it could harm him. We both didn't believe it for a second, though. Troye was strong, even if he didn't believe it.

"Back to Campbell?" I asked. He shook his head.

"Wait I didn't tell you?" he mumbled. I looked at him, confused. "I'm such an idiot! They're not letting me go back to the dorm."

I stopped dead in my tracks. "What? Why?" I could feel anger inching its way through my veins, but I surpressed it.

"All the rooms are taken and obviously I can't go back and stay with Tomas. I'm staying with Teresa until they can find a permanent place for me stay."

I didn't know whether to tell him that he was lucky or to be pissed off. I chose neither. "Okay. Do we need to pick up your stuff then?"

He shook his head. "Nope. Everything has already been moved by Jazz. They didn't want me to do any heavy lifting after leaving."

"Okay. Let's go then." I grabbed his arm gently and lead him up the path. Fortunate for me, Teresa's house was only two doors down from Elka's. I could spend as much time with Troye as I wanted! I was still upset that Troye had to be moved out of the dorm. It was my fault, and I was sad that he would be missing out on the boarding school experience just like I had. However, I could honestly say that he didn't seem to mind. In fact, he was almost.... happy?

I helped him up the stairs in Teresa's house. He insisted that he could do it by himself, but I didn't believe him. He looked exhausted. His room looked exactly like it had back in Campbell aside from the fact that his stuff was more spread out because he no longer had a roommate. Most of it was still in boxes considering that this arrangement was permanent. Teresa had only confided in me yesterday that she was pregnant, and the room Troye was staying in would be the one that would be redone for the baby.

I could have sworn Troye was about to pass out from exhaustion. "Till-y" he said in his tired state.

"Tilly?" I asked, a smug smile playing across my lips.

"Oh," he began, but fell into fits of giggles. "Sorry I just want to go to sleep." I helped him onto the empty bed, grabbing his blanket and pillow from the corner.

"Are you sure you can go to classes tomorrow?" I asked, watching him snuggle into the blankets. How can anyone be so adorable? It seemed impossible!

"Ya-yes," he whispered before drifting off into dream land. Teresa suddenly appeared in the doorway.

"Hey Tyler," she mumbled. "How are you?"

"Fine, I was just-"

She must have been able to tell how embarassed I felt. She walked in with me standing over a passed out Troye, and she knew how much I liked him. "It's okay. I'll walk you to the door." We walked downstairs silently. Her husband, Alex, waved at me as I passed by him. I waved back.

"You'll take care of him, right?" I asked. I didn't care if I was making my little crush obvious. I genuinely wanted to make sure that he was going to be safe.

"Of course, Tyler. I have to practice being a mother anyways." She smiled at me.

"Thank you, Teresa. I mean it." She nodded and closed the door behind me. I walked back towards Elka's house, happy to see that she had already gone to sleep. Tomorrow was going to be a big day, and I honestly couldn't wait.

*****

The next day, I woke up at 6 AM sharp. Classes didn't begin until 8, but I knew that I was going to have to go help Troye get ready. He had been an absolute mess last night, and I knew that there was no way he was going to wake himself up.

I swung my short legs over my bed and jumped to the ground. I pulled on my school uniform and carefully pinned the symbol that indicated I was a sophomore on it.

Downstairs, Elka had already prepared breakfast, but there was no time for that. "Sorry Elka. I'm going to have to pass today."

"Does this have anything to do with Troye?" she asked accusingly.

I told her no, but the blush spreading throughout my cheeks indicated otherwise. She didn't question me further, though, and let me run out the door without another word. I was at Teresa's front door, knocking on it, by 7. Not surprisingly, Alex was the one to answer it. He was a Physics teacher, and was rather punctual when it came to anything related to school.

"Could I-?" He stepped out of the way before I could even finish the sentence. I nodded at him before sprinting up the steps to where Troye was staying. Of course he was still asleep. "Troye!" I shrilled. "Wakey wakey!" I shoved his shoulder. He groaned. "TROYE!"

"Wha?" he grumbled.

"School! It's 7!"

That certainly got him up. Well, sort of. He fell out of his bed and onto the floor. I ran over and helped him up, careful not to touch his head. "Come on you have to get dressed," I continued.

He nodded his head and grabbed his school uniform which was nearly laid out across the bureau. Teresa must have done that. "Well I... Uh... I'll be outside."

He stared back at me blankly. "Kay," he said after a few long seconds of awkward. I slipped out the door and shut it as quietly as I could.

"Tyler is that you?" called Teresa from downstairs.

"Yeah hi Teresa!" I exclaimed, running downstairs to greet her.

"Have you eaten breakfast yet?"

"Naw," I admitted. Troye appeared behind me a moment later. Boy was he a quick changer. "Hey!" I exclaimed, observing his uniform. I hadn't seen him in it yet, and if anyone could make it look good, it was him.

"What class is first today?" he asked, slipping into one of the chairs at the table. I did the same.

"Well we have chem first, actually," I told him between mouthfuls of cereal.

A smile inched it's way across Troye's face. "Good. I don't think I'd be able to face the first class without you."

I buried my head into my shoulder to hide the blush that had sprouted up on my face. Gosh. Why?

"Wish I could have said the same," I managed.

He looked at me apologetically, but didn't say anything of the nature. "Come on. We're going to be late, and I would just absolutely hate to miss being hated."
