You never felt your world draped in sunlight
When your crush looks at his girlfriend
And he's happy

You never took your scarf off on a ice-cold night
To drape it around the child you met five minutes ago
You've never felt the water fill your lungs
You've never faced the arrows head-to-head
You've never looked at yourself and thought

You never have felt this
And you never will
Born into privilege as you are
And taught just to value yourself
So of course you don't know holy
Holy holy holy holy
Of course you don't know brave
Leftist, heroic, selfless brave
