Dinner with my mom can't go that bad right? Right?

I'm kinda freaking out because Ashton is unpredictable, I don't know how is he going to act. He better behave because if my mom doesn't like him, she's going to terrify him, and when I say my mom can be terrifying I mean it.

"April help me get the table ready" my mom shouted from the kitchen

Right now I'm getting dressed, another thing to worry about, is it formal? Casual? I'm new to this things and specially since he's my fake boyfriend

"In a second" I tell her

I'm deciding on wearing a sundress, since it isn't that formal but still isn't that casual. Before I go downstairs I open one of my KitKats to eat it and be relaxed. Thank god for chocolates really

"In what can I help?" I ask my mom getting to the kitchen

"Set up the table please" She handed me some plates and forks

"All right" we're going to eat my mom's specialty, which is Italian food, fettuccini to be more exact and it's such a casualty that it's his favorite food. I remember from when we were playing twenty questions. I just hope he doesn't think she made this because I consider him and his favorite food, that will make him more arrogant, and right now things are weird with him because he's constantly playfully flirting with me and I don't know what to do

"He's really handsome" my mom said

"Mom, please I told you to not brag about him, that inflates the ego of that asshole"she gave me a pointed look "I mean that...Uhm...that...boyfriend" I laughed awkwardly

"Your relationship seems weird to me, but tonight we'll see why you call your supposed boyfriend asshole" shit, I messed it up, now she suspects something

I finished setting up the table when the doorbell rang

"I'll get him" I tell my mom, I need to get to him before her to warn him

I opened the door and started "Ashton you need to..." I stop talking when I see that he's wearing a white shirt and some jeans, but he has the two first buttons opened and you can see a little bit of his defined chest and part of one of his tattoos. He looks really good. That's not all, I stop talking more precisely when I saw that he was holding two bouquets. One of white roses and the other one of lilacs

"Hello to you too" he smirked

"Uhm..." I'm still admiring the flowers, and I seem stupid like someone that hasn't seen flowers before, but it's the fact that he has the flowers, I never expected someone like him to bring flowers

"Are you going to let me in or..." he searched for my eyes

"Yes, sorry I was just going to say that be a good, you know, fake boyfriend" I whispered the last part just in case my mom could hear us

He just laughed and walked in

"Oh, hi Ashton welcome" my mom leaves the plate she was holding and walk towards us

"Mrs. Fields, thank you for inviting me over" he smiled at her, a genuine smile, I looked at him surprised "I hope this flowers are of your liking" he handed her the lilacs "and this ones are for your daughter, White roses, her favorites" he turns to look at me and smile giving me the flowers

I just took them and looked at the flowers and then at him again

"April, you look like a toddler when they see a clown, terrified" my mom says and I glare at her

"Mom..." I warn her

"What? You do" Ashton chuckles at my mom's comment and now I glare at him "thank you Ashton I love the lilacs, please come and sit down, we're going to eat fettuccine" she went to the kitchen to put the bouquets in water and leave us to sit in the meantime. He turns to look at me amused
