Chapter 8

The very second the bell rang for lunch, Chaeryeong jumps from her chair and stretches her arms.

"OMG I think I used up all of my brain cells for that math quiz."

She looks at Lia who was still talking to the professor; she waves at her gesturing how hungry she is.

"What did the teacher want?" Chaeryeong asks while they walking in the hallway.

"Hello..Lia.." She snaps her hand in front of Lia who was in a daze.

"Oh! Uhm she was asking if all classes and participating clubs already submitted their activity forms for the school festival." Lia answers, pinching the bridge of her nose.

"Are you okay? You seem stressed out lately."

"Yeah I'm fine..you how it is, it's almost festival week, I have a lot of things to handle."

"Why don't you let me handle some of the task, I AM after all your Vice President."

"Are YOU sure? Last time I gave you council work, you were whining at the end of the day." Lia gave her a worried look.

"Uh excuse me, that's because the other students wouldn't listen to me, but I won't let that happen again don't be such a worrywart...I know what'll brighten your day." Chaeryeong points out at Ryujin and Yeji who were just coming out of their classroom.

Lia just rolled her eyes at Chaeryeong, but soon gave a wide smile as she saw her happy pill.

Lunchtime. While most students eat at the school cafeteria and some stay in their classrooms, lately the four of them would always go to the rooftop, sitting on the floor eating their lunch and enjoying the weather.

"So what are your plans for the school festival?" Lia asked Ryujin.

"For the club, we'll just have a film showing..For the class activity, Yeji here won't tell me." Ryujin pouted, then put her lunchbox away and took out her strawberry milk. "She got chosen as the class rep."

"You do know I'll have to approve whatever it is you got planned right?" Lia squinted her eyes at Yeji being suspicious.

"Don't worry about it..I bet you're gonna love what we're gonna do. Right babe?" Yeji laughed and wiggled her eyebrows at Chaeryeong.

Chaeryeong then returned a wink.

"Ugh. Whatever..Chaer you go handle their class." Lia shrugs at the two. "That reminds me I have to go to the faculty room."

"Hey me too!" Yeji jump up from where she sat. "I have some papers to give from my previous school."

The warm sunlight pierced through the clouds, just barely missing them. The chatters of the students down the fields, the sounds of leaves getting blown by wind could clearly be heard as Ryujin and Chaeryeong were left alone.

"So when did those two became close?" Chaeryeong decided to break the silence.

"I dunno..I guess when they had a little chat at my house a while back." Ryujin continues her drink.

"Okay next question...Are you still madly in love with Lia?"

"W-Whaaaat? What are you talking about?" Ryujin almost spits her drink out. She looked over at Chaeryeong who had this weirdly hypnotic face.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about"

"..What..of course I love her, we've been friends for a long time..and yeah she means the world to me." Ryujin whispered the last part.
