The next morning, Jason awoke and found himself all bandaged up.
"What happened?" he said, as soon as he saw Nicole, "Where's Brandon?"
"He's dead." said Nicole, "It’s over."
"That's good." he said, "So now what?"
Nicole smiled and snuggled up next to him.
"Now we rebuild the world and live our lives," she said.
"Sounds good to me," he said as he wrapped his arms around her.
They gazed out the window to watched the sunrise over the new world they had created and smiled. Brandon was gone, Aaron was gone even her family was gone. But Jason was here, their friends were here and for the first time in a long time the future looked bright. Life was ready to begin again. They couldn't wait to make the world they had always wanted.
