GEORGE POV:

I groan and roll out of bed. I run a hand through my hair and look at my clothes. I fell asleep in them after being on a call for 8 hours. I sigh and pull my hoodie off, and grab one out of my closet.
I rush downstairs, and grab my bag. I pull shoes on and head to the kitchen.
My mom throws me a cereal bar and I say goodbye, and run out the door. I check my phone. 7:34. One minute till the bus comes. I fly down the street, and get on the bus just before the doors shut.
I drop into a seat across the aisle from Karl and Sapnap who are busy talking. I glance to see who I'm next to, and notice it's Ranboo.

"Oh, hey," I say.

He nods. "Uh, did we have homework for chem?" He asks.

I shake my head, and he looks back at his phone. By this point, I've caught my breath, and turn to Sapnap and Karl, who are holding hands.

"Did I miss something?"

Karl laughs, while Sapnap blushes.

"We'll tell you later, when Dream's here, ok?"

I frown, but nod nonetheless.
I open my phone and scroll through my apps listlessly, seeing what I missed. I open my recent texts with Dream and read through them.

When the bus comes to a stop outside the school, I get up, and grab Karl's arm. I drag him out the bus, and Sapnap follows.

"Explain," I demand.

They shake their heads, and I groan.

Without me noticing, Dream had joined us, and makes himself known.

"Is that my hoodie?"

I look down and groan again. I need to wake up earlier.

"Explain," Karl mocks, raising an eyebrow. I whack him, and Dream laughs.

"Keep it, it looks good on you,"

I try to fight the blush creeping up. We make pointless conversation for a minute, til Quackity joins us.
He, Karl and Sapnap share a look, and seem to have a telepathic debate. I glance at Dream, and he's just as clueless as I am.

Karl takes a deep breath, before saying something that shocks me to the core.

"We're dating,"

Dream and I explode.
"I'm sorry, what?" I splutter.
Dream tries to form words, but starts wheezing.
I stare at them.
"So you're together. 3 of you...
You're soulmates?"
They nod, and Karl giggles.
"How long?" I ask, trying to process it.
"Since Tuesday," Sapnap responds.
Before I can react, the warning bell rings, reaching us even out here. We all just break into a sprint and barely reach our homeroom in time, sitting down seconds before the teacher walks in. Their words are a blur, as I think about what I just found out. The three of them? The more I think about the last 2 days, it makes sense. The looks, the constantly calling each other, the sneaking away.

"Talk among yourselves,"

I turn to my side. Before I even figure what to say, Karl starts talking.
"So, it's my birthday next weekend, and I was gonna have a sleepover. I've messaged Bad and Skeppy, and they can come, can you guys?"

Dream nods, confident.

I shrug. "Sure, as long as you guys are quiet,"

Karl splutters, red in the face.
I laugh, and am instantly given a dirty look from the teacher.

"Ok, ignoring the last comment, but I'll tell my moms,"

After that, we talk in smaller groups. I turn to Dream.
"So. Any luck on your soulmate?"

He looks at his fingers.
"Oh, apparently so. It's so small I don't check,"

I look at the back of my hand, and the yellowish mark that is meant to be green is different. I show it to Dream.

"Is it different, or am I dumb?"

Dream tilts his head.
"Yeah, it's all shimmery! Who's touched your hand recently?"

You, I think.
"Oh, I don't know. Probably brushed it while I was handing them something,"
Salt. While I was handing you salt.

I am incredibly dense. Why would it be Dream? I'm clutching at straws here. Besides, I'm straight. Aren't I?

The bells rings, clearing my head.
I get up, and walk out alone. I need to think.

I look around. I see them standing with his friends, and I walk over.
"Hi Eret, can I borrow you?"
He nods, and walks with me.
"So, you need help. You think your soulmate may be a dude and are in a sexuality crisis,"

I stare at her.
"No, I needed your homework. Of course that's why I wanted to talk,"

He chuckles, and I frown.

"Ok, who is it?"

"A friend," I deadpan.

"Ok, so Dream. You think your soulmate is your best friend?"

"What? I never said- you know what? Yeah. It's Dream. How do you know that?"

"Ahh, a magician never reveals his secret," she smiles. "Or maybe it's because he came to me the other day,"

I stare at him. Dream did what?

"So, my advice is as follows: run through the memories since the mark appeared, take in account your feelings, what his may be, and try not to label it or yourself till you are comfortable,"

I nod.

"Glad to help. Call me if you're still confused,"
They walk off, disappearing like a mirage.

I take a deep breath and go back to my friends. I need a wingman.

~~timeskip~~

I walk out the school, and hover around, waiting for my friends. I take my phone out and send a text to my mom.
Going to Karl's, see you later
