"One. Two. Three–"
Everette pushed through the pain, holding her knee to her chest as her physical therapist counted down, using his own hands to add a little more pressure for a better stretch.
"Ten," he released which allowed her to bring her leg back down. "Good!" he encouraged. "Since this is only appointment number one and you barely got your stitches removed, we're just going to talk about how our next few appointments will go," he grabbed a stool, taking a seat near the bed she laid down on.
"Basically I want you do these stretches everyday," he pulled out a white piece of paper from his clipboard. "Five stretches in total with the correct way to do them," he pointed towards the picture demonstrations. "I want to say aim for forty five minutes, total each day. Their just stretches so the point isn't to heal right away, it's too loosen up the tightness that might have came a long,"
Everette nodded her head. She was a little stressed from stretching, pain that she didn't even have before starting to come back, but it was a good thing because that meant she was loosening up her leg muscles.
"Where going to go ahead and put you in our little machines. This is might be cold to the touch, but all it does is send small shocks into your body to stimulate everything and then these–" the sticky tabs were definitely cold, making her jump a little bit, but the next thing he pulled out was a little intimidating. "are just some boots that will kind of squeeze and release your legs to prevent blood clots and just help the blood flow better,"
