I woke up at around 9:00. I was sad because tonight we were leaving for America. Today, We planned to go hiking. The next week, Tommy planned on putting all the footage taken into a big vlog of our week together. Since today was relatively chilly, I put on a sweatshirt. I realized it was the one that Tommy had sent me for my birthday last year. I smiled. I put my hair up and went downstairs. We just had toast. I poured myself a glass of orange juice. Tommy came in a bit later and sat down beside me.
"You look pretty tired," I commented.
"No I don't," he said.
I sighed. "How late did you stay up after you went to your room?"
"Do you really want to know?"
"Yes."
He winced. "4:30."
"All of you need to get a better sleep schedule. Tubbo and I are the only ones with good ones here, I guess," I said.
"Where do you buy them?" he asked.
"To be fair, I buy melatonin from a grocery store," I replied.
"That's not fair. That's cheating," he said.
I laughed. "I didn't know you could cheat sleeping."
"You can."Later, we went to a hiking trail relatively close to us. We got to the start of the trail. It was a loop, and my mom let us go the other way and we would see each other in the middle. We decided to make it a challenge. We got a good start, but started slowing down. We kept getting distracted by things on the side of the trail.
"I got something for you!" Tommy told me.
I stopped. "What?"
He walked towards me and tucked a blue flower behind my ear. I took it out, looked at it and smiled, and then put it back in my hair.
"We should pick up our pace," Wilbur reminded us.
We nodded and went a bit faster. About two miles into the hike, we passed them. When we made it back to the trail, everyone else was waiting fo r us.
"We beat you," Sarah gloated.
Wilbur nodded. "Dream would be proud."
We went back to the rental home and made sandwiches for lunch. I got onto the switch and started Minecraft. I was scrolling through my worlds.
"Hold on. What's that?" Tommy asked from behind me.
He pointed to a world labeled 'Shrine Innit'.
"Oh, that's, uh, nothing. Haven't been on it since last year or something."
"We should play on it," he offered.
I remembered what the world was. I'd made it before I even started dating Tommy. It was basically a whole world dedicated to him with different landmarks.
I sighed. "Oh, we probably shouldn't do that one."
"Why not?" he asked.
"It's kind of complicated," I tried.
"You sound like you're hiding something," he said, taking it out of my hands and getting onto the world. He handed it back to me.
"I'm joining you now. I might make a video out of this."
He got onto his laptop and joined.
We spawned inside a terribly built cabin. Tommy walked outside the door. A flower patch was beside it. A dock with a boat sat on the edge of the island.
"What's this?" he asked.
I went over to see what he was talking about. A sign read: 'Innit Island'.
"Oh, this island was dedicated to you," I explained.
"When exactly did you make this world?"
I cleared my throat. "Ah, um, before we started dating."
"So that week?"
"No. Even before that. I was a big fan. You already knew that, though," I replied sheepishly.
He grinned. "Let's explore the rest of it."
We walked around until we came across a tall red and white tower. We climbed up the ladder in the side. A book was on a lectern.
"Don't read that," I advised.
"Why not? It can't be any worse than some of the books I've written," he answered, clicking on the book.
"The Tommy Tower," he read. "Finished 3/03/21 by Invisibledragonfly. Dedicated to Tommy my beloved."
He laughed hard as I hid my face.
"This was even before I knew you!" He laughed.
We left the tower and walked around until we found another landmark. It was a small, man-made pond. There was another sign that told us it was called 'Lake Tommy.'
A few flowers sat next to it. Another book sat in front of us.
"I'll do the honors," he said, opening the book. He cleared his throat and read. "Lake Rules. 1. No swimming! 2. Absolutely no picking flowers! 3. No saying the names Wilbur or George in the presence of this lake. What's that about?"
I shrugged. "Hold on. If I remember right..." I trailed off.
I jumped into the water.
"Hey! You're disrespecting my lake!" he said.
"Come in!" I told him.
He did and I swam down. It led to a hidden chamber. Yet another book was placed down there.
He started reading it again. "This secret base is dedicated to Tommy my beloved. May the work put into this base symbolize the amount of love I have for TommyInnit."
He looked over at me. "Wow. Simp much?"
"Maybe a little bit," I admitted.
"Lindsey, it was not a little bit," Rose said from the living room. "Tommy! Want to know something?"
"Sure. What?"
"I made this little bead thing of your Minecraft character and gave it to her. She would take it with her everywhere she went. If she forgot it, she would feel bad about it," Rose said.
"Aww. That's kinda cute," Tommy smiled.
"It might be, but she forgot to mention the fact that I lost it on like seventy two different occasions," I replied.
"Half the time it was Sarah and Henry stealing it because they thought it was funny how angry you got when you couldn't find it," she added.
