Ways to Make you Smile

Reyna's POV

I felt giddy.
I watched as Nico left.
Once he was fully gone I let out a sigh of relief.
My face broke out into a huge grin.
I had been holding that in for a while now.
My own happiness surprised me.
When had I started liking Nico?
Maybe I had liked him all along, unbeknownst to me.
My lips were tingling still from the kiss.
I ran my fingers over them.
Since when had Nico liked me?
I'd always thought we were close but it never crossed my mind that he could possibly have feelings for me.
"Choose to be with me" he had said.
To which I had responded, "ok".
But was it ok?
Was any of this ok?
I look up at the sky and close my eyes, "gods I hope this is ok".
The night breeze caresses my bare skin as I open them up again.
I guess all I can really do is hope.
And with that, I go back inside and attempt to sleep.
It was no use.
Too many thoughts had made a nest of my mind.
And he was the culprit.

Nico's POV
I entered my room.
I couldn't wipe the grin that was on my face.
Tonight couldn't have gone any more perfect.
I suppose Reyna and I were dating now?
The thought only made my grin wider.
Thank gods Hazel wasn't here to see me or I'd never live it down.
I threw myself onto my bed.
I closed my eyelids and tried to sleep, although I knew I would fail.
The events of tonight kept playing in my head.
I let them play.

I woke up at 6 am.
I had managed to fall asleep at 2 am last night and despite only getting 4 hours of sleep, I felt refreshed.
Like I was born again.
I stepped out to a world brimming with possibility.
Smiling, I headed to Reynas room.

Reynas POV
I don't know when I fell asleep last night, all I know is that it was late.
Way too late to be waking up early.
Nico however, seemed to have different plans.
" Rey", he whispered.
"Hey Rey"
I groaned.
" Nico what are you doing here so early", I mumbled.
" I wanted to see you"
I peeked at him for a second.
He smiled.
I groaned and turned in the opposite direction of him.
" reynaaa", I heard him whine.
I sighed.
"What."
He gazed at me for a second before breaking into a smile.
"Let's go on a date today', he beamed.
My cheeks burned.
"You do realize that I still have duties to fulfill, right?"
He raised a questioning eyebrow at me.
"Oh. well I just thought you were taking the day off, i mean, considering it's 1pm already"
I gasped.
"It's what!?"
I looked at the clock on my bedside table, sure enough it read 1pm.
