" Polnareff. So, you decided to bring the sword with you after all? " JoJo asked.
" Yeah, I'm gonna turn it into the police. This thing is a dangerous weapon you know. "
' I still don't feel any better about it being around us. ' I thought.
We all sat in a hotel room in Edfu, talking about what happened before we got on the boat. Iggy was still standing in a stance that seemed ready to jump at any moment. He was growling towards Polnareff, and I wondered why he was growling at the french man.
" That's a good idea. Anyone could pick it up at those ruins and we can't take any chances. " Joseph agreed.
" That sword is probably worth a small fortune. " Avdol said glancing at the sword.
Iggy's barking got louder, and I was afraid the barking would alert the pedestrians or anyone else living in the walls of the hotel.
" Iggy, stop it. " I told the dog.
" If you keep this up we're going to get kicked out. "Joseph said.
" What the hell is wrong with that mutt today? Ah, well since the damn dog won't shut up I guess I'll take the sword to the cops right now. " Polnareff said getting up and grabbing the sword.
" Polnareff! Didn't you listen when we said to not go off on your own? Y/n was right last time when she went with you. You just attract trouble on your own. "
" We'll go with him. " JoJo said putting a hand on my shoulder.
" Yeah, we'll go with him. " I agreed.
We walked out of the room and left the hotel. Polnareff kept the sword in his hand and didn't show a sign of letting it go or handing it to us. We continued to walk until Pol spotted a barbershop.
" Hey, I'm going to get a quick cut. I need it, after all this travel my hair has gotten longer. "
" How? It's the shape of a perfect square. "
" It needs to stay that way mon cheri. Come on, I'll turn the sword in when we leave. "
He entered the barbershop and I followed him with Jotaro by my side. Polnareff got in the chair and the barber reclined him. Jotaro sat down and grabbed a magazine while I sat beside him. The sword remained by Polnareff, and I was curious as to why he was keeping it so close.
' That french man is worrying me. Maybe it's just because I'm worried about everything right now. We're getting closer and closer to Cairo and that's where Dio is residing. I kind of don't want to face him, but I know I have to. God, how am I going to be able to fight him? The last time I saw him I was fighting him with Jonathan and Speedwagon by my side and Jonathan pushed him off the balcony. It's been years. I haven't even seen him since the defeat of Death 13 and now I'm just...stuck. '
I leaned back in my chair and stared at the ceiling.
' It's bad that I still believe he has some good, but what else am I supposed to think? He showed me the side of him that no one else had ever seen because they didn't want to see it. They automatically called him evil, and they never asked him about his mother or tried to relate to him...But he was also never open. The only reason I cared about him so much was originally because he tried to steal me from Jonathan by talking to me but we understood each other because we both lost our parents. We were able to relate to each other and understand our emotions. '
The more I stared at the ceiling the sadder I got.
' If only he hadn't killed George Joestar, then maybe none of this would have happened. He's going to die, I know that, but it's still going to be hard fo me to do it. But I will, for the sake of the world and the Joestar clan. I am their protector and life long friend. '
