Shawn's POV

I was disappointed.

I released my album. I finally finished it.

Nobody could buy the songs yet on iTunes, you had to pre-order the whole album.

Why was I disappointed, you ask.

Well, because, Riley has nothing to do with my music career.

She doesn't ask me anything about my music. And I don't even think she has ever listened to my songs. Maybe a few, I don't know.

I wanted her to know.

I've been traveling a lot lately.

I'm also extremely nervous.

Why?

Because, I was going to tell her that I will be gone for two months.

Working on more music.

I don't know how she'll respond.

Riley's POV

I was sitting in a little cafe.

Shawn told me to meet him here, he sounded nervous over the phone saying he has something important to tell me.

What could be so important?

I heard the bell on the door ding.

Meaning someone just entered. I heard footsteps coming closer towards my booth.

Shawn slid into the seat across of me.

I gave him a big grin.

He just had a nervous smile on.

"Ry....I'm going to be gone for two months. Making more music."

My face dropped into a little frown.

I looked down at my hands that were cupping my big mug of hot chocolate.

"What?"

My voice was quiet and silent.

Two months.

I can't stay away from Shawn for a week, never mind a two months.

"I'm so, so sorry."

He grabbed my hands and held them, his head hanging down in shame.

He has always been serious about music. All I knew was that he was famous.

I've never really heard his music.

I'm a bad friend.

"It's okay. Shawn, I understand, if I was famous and had a big future ahead of me, I would obviously choose what's best for my future." I gave him a tiny smile.

Then looked out the window.

"Are you sure?"

"I'm sure." I laughed.

I'm going to miss him so much.

I will probably cry every night.

"I'm leaving tomorrow."

Wow.

"I just found out about leaving, like a few days ago." He said.

I nodded. My head still turned towards the window.

Tears brimmed in my eyes.

No. You will not cry.

"I have to go now. I'll come over tomorrow early in the morning to help you finish packing." I slid out of the booth and called my mom to come pick me up.

***

I was in the airport. Waiting for Shawn to get out of the bathroom.

Just a few more minutes, and he's gone.

"Ready?" He asked taking his big suitcase out of my hand.

I nodded and we walked towards his gate in silence.

We sat down in some chairs.

And waited for his flight to be called.

Then it called.

"Flight, B-4 will be boarding now."

I wanted to break down.

We stood up.

He gave me a huge hug and I sunk into him. Tears running down my face.

He pulled away and wiped my tears off with his thumb.

"I'm going to miss you so much." He planted a kiss on my forehead.

"I'm going to miss you too."

He pulled something out of his carry on back pack.

It was a big black bag.

I raised my eyebrow.

"What's in it?" I asked.

"You'll see, open it when you miss me."

Well that's going to be every second.

"Or just open it when you get home." He said.

"Riley, I have to go. I love you." He put a soft kiss on my cheek and headed towards the door of boarding.

"Goodbye." I whispered softly.
