In Domino City, the Kaiba Corporation was developing a new system called Ener-D. In the R.R.D(Reactor Research Division) the leading researchers are Professor Fudo and Professor L/N. Their assistants are Rex and Roman Goodwin. While in development, Both Professor Fudo and L/N wanted to cancel the project due to the risks they found while they were researching the Ener-D System found it very unstable due to when tested cause unusual weather and small tremors.
Furthermore, they came the conclusion that it will lead to an accident, however their request was rejected due to its sponsors. With both Professor being uncooperative, the research was handled to Roman Goodwin. But when it was completed, it overloaded.

Professor L/N knew what will happen and decided to put his 1 year old son, Y/N into a evacuation pod and give him a special card. Apparently Professor Fudo had the same idea as him. When he was about to send Y/N away, he gave him a very special card then, he said his final words to his son.
D/N: Y/N, just know that me and your mother will always love you and regretfully couldn't be with you. But no matter what live freely and don't let anyone stop you what you think is right
When he finished he activated the pod and send him far away from the city. When the Ener-D Reactor exploded, it created a massive tectonic shift. Which will be later known as the "Zero Reverse" Effect.
