Darkness.
The familiar sounds of piano resonated in my mind.
I woke up in an unfamiliar hall. A white, empty, and spacious hall. Except it wasn't. In the middle of the spacious hall lies a big spiral staircase. It seems like it goes all the way up to the tallest floor, that's just a guess though since I can't really see the end of it.
Other than that, there's also a vintage-looking gramophone playing the melody itself. There are no records spinning on it and a few wires are connecting it to somewhere else. Guess it's broadcasting music from somewhere then. It's currently playing the iconic arrangement by Chopin, Nocturne in E-Flat Major, Op. 9, No. 2. If it weren't for this bizarre situation it would've been quite romantic.
After searching the area, it would seem that there's nothing else in the room. Just an old gramophone and a big staircase. sigh, Guess I'll climb up then since there really isn't anything else to do.
