"so whats the plan?" fae asked, hair flying into her face as she turned her head to look at the boy. karl smiled, shaking his head. "i don't know." fae laughed, sticking her hand out of the window as they drove on the highway. the harsh cold wind hitting her skin, "bullshit, y'know i hate surprises."

he laughed, head titling back slightly. "you literally told me you love surprises the first day we talked, you like them for the same reason you like rollercoasters." fae couldn't fight the large smile that took over her features at the fact that he remembered those facts.

fae peeked her eyes open, squinting from the bright light as she watched the car pull into the parking lot of a large park in a small town just about 15 minutes away from their houses.

"oooh, a picnic maybe?" she asked. "mayhaps, mayhaps." she laughed, grabbing her bag and phone. faes smile stayed on her face as she went to open her door, "AH, AH AH AH, WAIT WAIT WAIT." karl said, running to her side of the car. "okay okay, gentleman, a little too gentlemany." she joked, putting her hands up in defense as karl laughed and opened the door for her.

"thank you." she smiled, getting out of the car. karl smiled back at her, subconsciously grabbing her hand. "i love picnics." fae said under her breath, swinging their connected hands through the spring air. "i know."

fae slid onto the old plastic bench, the old green table making a loud creak. "oh shi-oot." karl said, his hand clasping over his mouth. "hm?" fae hummed, looking up at karl.

"i forgot food." karl said, laughs breaking his sentence. fae couldn't even think about being mad at the guy.

"well, isn't there a pizza place down the street?" she offered, grabbing her phone so she could call and place an order. "fae! you're insane!" he said with a smile, wrapping his arms around her from behind the bench. "i know, i know." she patted his arm.

karl kept his arms wrapped around faes shoulders as she placed the order, even though bending down like that probably wasn't good for his back, he found no reason to let go.

"alright, yes, thank you bye!" fae said cheerfully, hanging up the phone. she tilted her head back to look at the boy, "pizza will be ready to pick up in a few minutes." she smiled. karl hooked her hair behind her ear, "sounds good, ill leave in a few minutes than."

"i'm back!" karl said happily, taking off his mask as he placed the pizza box on the table. "pepperoni right?" she nodded, opening the box.
