The next morning

Marinette woke up before Adrien and noticed she hadn't moved. She got off of him and went towards her desk to check the time. When she saw the time on her computer, it showed that it was 4 am. She looked over and saw the screw still sitting on her desk. Seeing it reminded her of what she had done and she felt something tug at her. She tried to push the thought away again. She didn't want to do it again but knew her brain might make her. She walked into her bathroom and turned on the shower. The water stung as it hit her side. She took the fastest shower she could in case he woke up. Once she got out she stood in front of the mirror to take a look at her side. She sighed as she saw how bad it was and put on another bandaid. She got dressed and walked out of the bathroom.

"Mari?" Adrien woke up and didn't see her there anymore. An overwhelming fear came over him as tears started filling his eyes. He heard movement downstairs and shot up, running down the stairs. He hoped she didn't do anything. When he saw her hair wet and different clothes he knew she just came out of the shower. He ran up to her and just hugged her.

"Wake me next time. Please?" She felt bad as she knew why he was crying. She knew that he thought she did it again, she was tempted but didn't.

"I just took a shower, I didn't want to wake you."

"Did you-?"

"I didn't, if I'm being honest I wanted to but I didn't, I promise." He held her closer to him. He didn't want to let her have those thoughts. He felt powerless that he couldn't do anything to help her through this. He couldn't take the memories away from her, he could only help her slightly forget. He knew she would never forget it as something like this will leave you scarred forever. He wanted to go back in time and stop her from ever talking to Luka but knew if he did that then everything would change. He wanted to believe that she didn't do it again but had a slight doubt because she lied about it last time.

"Promise that you didn't?" She nodded her head and put his hand on her side that didn't have anything. He went and put his hand on her other side. She only flinched when he got to the same spot as yesterday.

"See, nothing." He wanted to see it for himself but knew that he truly didn't want to see it. He was still having inner turmoil about not telling her parents. He wasn't sure if he could trust her alone with that many downstairs. He decided that he would only tell them to have locked up somewhere.

She cupped her hands on the sides of his face and looked into his eyes. They were still full of tears and she felt bad that she caused this. If she did it again she would have to do it when she knew no one would be there.

"Please, talk to me next time."

"You were in cl-"

"I don't care, just call me, Please!" He was starting to cry again and now so was she. She didn't know what to say or do next. She heard someone call up but ignored it.

"Marinette, is everything okay?" It was her dad. They must have woken him up.

"Yea, sorry Papa."

"I never went to sleep, Marinette." By now he was already in her room.

"Oh."

"I was worried about you Mari. I know that school wasn't great." He looked around her room scanning it to see if anything was out of place. He looked at Adrien and he gave him a look of 'we need to talk'.

"I'm just going to use the bathroom." Mari just wanted to get out of the situation for a few minutes.

"Sir, I need to tell you something. I'm really worried about her."
