when Penelope walked into the apartment holding 5 shoe boxes to see her son sitting on the couch, on his laptop with headphones in while Andrea and Eve were helping Lydia in the kitchen. "Alex... Alex!"
"he can't hear you! he is possessed by the youtube"
"yep can't hear anything, I had to hit him with a cucumber just to ask a question," says Eve, Alex then sees his mum and all the boxes she's holding and quickly turns off his laptop and takes off his headphones
"I can explain" he quickly says
"ooh this is gonna be good" Andrea whispers to Eve "estupido," Eve says under her breath
"Really?" the single mother questions "you can explain how one pair of sneakers magically became five? because that is some Jesus crap right there." she takes a pause
"Sorry I said the word Jesus so close to the word crap," Penelope says. Andrea, Eve and Lydia all do the sign of the cross then Alex begins speaking
"Mum, this family's been through a lot, and I felt like I needed to provide because I'm the man of this house now"
"okay brace face" Andrea laughs Eve glares at her then joins in until Penelope glares at both of them so they stop
"oh, that's why you bought five pairs of sneakers?" the single mum asks him
"that's why I bought no pairs of sneakers" he smarts
"oh his into magic now?" laughs Lydia "can I be your assistant? no, I will become the focus" she questions
"Esta familial es un hombre raro" Andrea sighs out while Eve laughs
"free returns, mum I can order any pair I want, wear them a couple times. As long as I keep them clean, I can send them right back" Alex concludes
Alex and Penelope keep going back and forth so Andre goes to talk to Eve but sees that Eve has stopped what she's doing and is just staring at Alex which confuses Andrea because why would Eve be-
"GASP" Andrea grabs Eve's arm and shoves her into the room
"what, what happened?" asks Eve
"you like Alex!?"
Eve's eyes widen "WHAT no w-why would i-i l-like Alex," she says as she starts nervously laughing "hmm I don't know maybe because you were staring at him the whole time!"
Eve sighs "okay, yes I like Alex-" "wha-"Eve shushes her
"let me finish, yes I like him BUT you can't let anyone find out, okay?"
"Bu-"
"I SAID OKAY!?" Eve yells "okay, okay my lips are sealed but you have horrible taste"
"you are the girl version" Andrea gasps loudly "how dare you insult me like that, you should know that I'm way too cute to look like him" Eve just laughed then she stopped when heard someone knock on the door
"who is it?" Andrea asked "it's Luca"
"oh okay come in" Luca opens the door and closes it behind him "what's up?"
"I walked in on the conversation your mum and Alex were having and it looked like it was getting personal I mean even Schneider left so I just thought to come in here"
"oh, ok"
"um I should go dads waiting for me at home," Eve said making them break eye contact
"oh, why are you not staying for dinner?" Andrea asks
"no, pops made Rabo de Toro and I haven't had a family dinner with him in a while"
"ok well I gotta do some homework say bye to everyone on your way out"
"will do," Eve says as she leaves
"oh hey forgot you were still there," Andrea says while laughing
Luca puts a hand over his heart "you wound me Alvarez" he says while joining in on her laughter
"Anyway, did you bring Izzy with you?"
"yeah I did I think she's helping Lydia in the kitchen," Luca tells the girl in front of him
"Okay, well we should start heading out," Andrea says making Luca snap out of his trance, he clears his throat "yeah, of course. um ladies first," he says while holding the door open "Um thanks," Andrea says while laughing
as she left the room Luca stayed back a bit "ladies first, oh my god you idiot," he says to himself
Andrea came out to see her mum looking upset and when Luca also saw he told her that he and Izzy would just go home for dinner I just nodded and went back to my room.
