Maybe I'm wierd or off in some way
But I can't seem to fathom how people say
I happy here, right where I am
I'm happy where I can be hurt by a man
I'm smiling here where I can be killed
With no regrets and no charges be billed
I'm lucky to be here in the sun
Where the police just shoot their guns
I love to be in this place on the Earth
Where people can't decide if they have birth
I like it right here, here where I stand
Where the oceans are dying as well as land
Why should I worry what's happening there
When I can murder and no one would care
Why should I go out of the sun
When people here just carry 'round guns
Why should I help when others are needy
When all my life I've been rude and greedy
Why should people stand up and fight
Just to die for what they think is right
My question to those who ask themselves this,
How often are you here in bliss?
How light is your skin?
Are you straight as a line?
Country of origin?
Way to tell time?
How privileged are you?
Are you a natural male?
Who are you?
What's your weight on the scale?
You see odds are your forgetting
Your future was always bright
Never wrapped in black netting
Never drowned in the night
But for others that wasn't an option
They never had the choices you get lost in
They're kicked from their homes
Starve until they're just bones
While you sit here and shame their lives
While they cut themselves with knives
While you shame them for their weight
They stop eating and try to be straight
So do better
Better can last forever
The future is now or never
