"So you're saying both of my daughters need urgent surgery?" Jaxon stared at the doctors in disbelief, his son and adoptive-honorary-son standing behind him.
"I'm afraid so." Arisa's doctor, Dr. Jung, said with a sigh. "There's fluid around her spinal cord, as well as a fracture. We need to suck out the fluid and align her spinal cord before her situation worsens."
"Will she be able to... y'know-" Kaminari added softly. "Be able to walk again?"
"Perhaps."
"Excuse me?" Jensen raised a brow. "What do you mean perhaps?"
Dr. Jung sighed, "It all depends if her physical therapy goes well."
"You're saying she'll need to learn how to walk again?" Jaxon and Jensen eyed each other, their eyes drifting back to the doctor.
"I'm afraid so."
"What about Yesi?" Jensen questioned. "What's wrong with her?"
Yesi's doctor stepped forward, a small sigh leaving her lips, "The penetration to her chest caused a blunt injury, causing the the air to come out of her lungs. It added a big amount of pressure to them as well."
"Come again?"
"It means she has a collapsed lung," Dr. Zeruki stated.
"No, we know that." Jensen said with a roll of eyes. "We knew that from the beginning. What we want to know is why does she need surgery?"
"Exactly." Jaxon nodded. "You made a hole in between her ribs for the use of a chest tube to remove the air, the hell happened to that?"
"It didn't work–"
"It didn't work?" A new voice startled the group. "Wouldn't of that have killed her? Being under a coma with a tube stuck in her chest barely able to breathe?"
"Well—"
"What's the surgery procedure?"
"He looks mad." Kaminari whispered softly to Jensen, who nodded in agreement.
"As he should be."
"Sir, if you're not family–"
"He asked you a question." Jaxon snapped. "So answer him."
Glancing between Jaxon and Aizawa, Dr. Zeruki let out a sigh, "It's simple. We'll just have to make small cuts between the ribs in her chest. We have tools that go into the openings with a camera. Like that I'll be able to find the issue and easily remove it. On the way removing any blebs."
"Blebs?" Kaminari voiced out. "What are blebs?"
"It's an abnormal part of the lung." the doctor replied. "if those ruptured they have to be removed to prevent any other rupturing."
"When will the surgeries be?" Aizawa questioned her.
"Tonight."
"Both?"
"Yes."
"Chance of survival?"
"Kaminari, if you don't shut the hell up–"
"It was just a question."
Around eleven at night, the worried men stood seated on the waiting room. Impatiently waiting for any type of news.
"We're losing her!"
Dr. Zeruki cussed under her breath, watching as blood flooded from the small opening.
"You." She eyed the assistant across of her. "Try stopping her from bleeding out while I try stabilizing her."
The doctor charges the defibrillator paddles and places them on the chest of the lifeless Yesi.
Her adrenaline was all over the place as she shocks the white-haired pro. Her only focus being her and the loud flat lined beeping.
"250 J!"
The frustrated doctor gives off a high dose of electricity; watching as Yesi's back arches and her limp body lifts up off the bed with the shock.
"Again!"
"It's not working."
"We'll keep on going!"
"Doctor–"
"You think everything's going okay?" Jensen asked his father in a small voice.
The bluenette turned to make eye-to-eye contact with his oldest and with a soft smile, he nodded.
"You're sisters are strong. They'll pull through."
