Staring at everyone, Alrick's eyes glistened with tears... Tears of joy, maybe, I finally remembered. But he knew what it meant for him, he was the one who told his mother about our plan, knowing that her loyalty lies with Valdomore, he knew the risk and still, he took dem, for what? A goodbye? He didn't drink from my human or cheated on me, his selfishness caused my death and I don't know if can forgive him,

"How did you know I wasn't dead?" I stared him right in the eyes, all this time he kept repeating his undying love for me, but was it out of guilt?

"My mother... She— she told me a witch came to her in slumber, telling her that you weren't dead. So she helped us escape, to look for you,"

Saying nothing I looked away from him, turning my back to them fully,

"He is my mate," I whispered to Robert, a man who I met, learned about through secrets meetings that he is my mother's brother, my uncle, "And she is my beta, I can't stand to see them right now but if you or any wolf... hurt a single hair on their heads... I will rip your fucking spinal cord from your back, have I made myself clear?" I kept my voice low, not meeting his eyes,

"Sure," I could hear the bitterness in Robert's voice, he didn't approve of this, but what choice did he have,

With my hand tucked behind me, I walked away, not beside anyone but alone. Yesterday, I couldn't remember who I was, today I know who I am, I am Veronica Hall, a sad little girl who was insecure, broken about being abandoned by her parents, but I am also Celestine Baker, an ethnologist who love animals, once a werewolf... Now a hybrid, destined to stop W.C.K.D and Valdomore. I will bring this new world to peace forcing humankind to hunt us no more, I will show them that we are on their side and W.C.K.D is not for the people but against them and they want to evolve by creating new humans. Just over the hills stood a castle, one not as big as Valdomore's but it was home, my home. And that's why I cannot understand Katherine's betrayal, and her last words to me made no sense, and Valdomore was acting strange when he saw me for the first time, he admits to trying to stop something but what was it, what did Katherine didn't want me to leave with? For all I know I was only leaving with bad memory from their coven, my beta, and--- their son. Was that it, it would make sense, Alrick is the heir to their throne as I am to mine, and I was taking him away from them, their only heir. Inside the castle was white, like outside, the walls, the decore, the staircases, but its warm,

"Alright," Robert spoke as we marched in, "I am sure our heiress and her... guests..." he glared at Al and amber as he grumbled, "--- are tired so tonight we will plan as rest for her crowning and tomorrow will go down in the book of history, long live our Queen, Veron--- I mean..." he cleared his throat, "Celestine,"

"Actually, there are few words I would like to say before that... grand communion." I froze in my tracks, turning to face my people, " A lot has happened, and I missed out on a lot of lost battles, wins, and new beginnings. Today I promise you, I will right every wrong Valdomore has caused us, and even though A.R.E.S labs have become our number one enemy, by rebranding themselves as W.C.K.D, I think there is hope. I worked with these people, for years and now that my memory is back I can vouch for them---" my speech was disrupted by low mumbles,

"I know, I know... it's hard to hear, hard to believe but together we will fix this world, I---"

"Well, isn't that a nice speech," I heard a voice in the back,

The crowd parted, looking back at someone but I couldn't see who it was. Transforming into her human form, one of her eyes blue and the other green,

The she-wolf. She had white hair, and her face looked smooth as if  she showered in milk, she was beautiful.

"My name is Lenora... Lenora Hall, second daughter to Fredrick Hall,"

The crowd fell silent as she approached me.

All along, she knew who I was, we were half-sisters.

"So what's this? A duel?"

"I would be a fool to fight a hybrid. I will just have to wait until you fall..."

"You could have ended me, so many times... the throne would have been automatically handed down to you,"

"I don't know," she smirked, "Maybe I was feeling generous,"

"break it up... break it up," Robert stood between us, "Put your claws away. And you---" he turned to Lenora, "You're coming with me, claiming Fredrick is your father is big accusation... let's see if your story checks out," he tugged her arm, pulling her upstairs,

Swallowing hard, I met the eyes of Amber and Al in the crowd, but quickly, I looked away,

"Thank you, see you all tomorrow,"

Marching away, I went outside, inhaling the cold air, this could mean trouble, Lenora being here...

"Hey," I heard his voice behind me,

Al.

"Al, I—"

"Let me go first. I know what I did was fucked up, and selfish and I jeopardized our plan, your life, and--- my mother, she seemed ok with it all at first, so I don't why on the very last day she chose to sell us out..."

Everything he said after that was blank, and I started to connect the dots finally, she knew all that time but never sold us out until the very last day and I think I know why, standing up, my lips crashed onto Al's own, but he pulled away,

"I--- I thought you hated me, I was the reason..."

"No," I cut him off, "I never hated you, but come on, I died so... of course I was a little mad, but hate you? Never"

"Well I am happy to hear that," he pulled me closer,

"You know," I spoke, " When I couldn't remember anything, I was falling in love with you all over again, and I must admit,' I chuckled lowly, "When you told me about the old me, Veronica, I was jealous,"

"I know, but we wanted you to remember everything on your own as you,"

"I never got the chance to mark you, as my mate,"

"True. But how about we go inside and you can show me what those new fangs do---"

"Oh gosh Al," Amber emerged from behind the trees, I knew she was there though, watching us,

"I will leave you girls to catch up," he mumbled kissing me on the cheek, "I will go find the assigned room for my... queen and I," he smiled, walking away.

"The bitchs' story checks out, she is your half-sister," Amber chuckled

"Amber, Al wasn't the one who caused my death,"

"What do you mean---"

"A week before our... you know. I was feeling sick, real sick, so I went to Katherine, and had her... taste my blood,"

"Celestine..."

"I know... I know, at the time it seemed like a good idea,"

"What happened?" Amber whispered,

"She found something, and when they tried to kill me... it saved me. I think that's the reason I am what I am today?"

"A hybrid?"

"Amber..." I stuttered, "I think I was pregnant."
