Chapter 1 | welcome to cook county

Your first time in a court room, hearing the word guilty slows time for a second, you don't hear any noise and you start to worry, soon your family starts crying but the more you go the more you get use to it. This time i was only annoyed because I payed major money for a decent lawyer.

My lawyer sighed laying her head in her hands " im sorry, but atleast we got your scentence lessened" she said

The officer came over starting to cuff me " yeah but that's not what i pay you for" i mumbled as we started walking away

The ride is always faster then it should be and my handcuffs were way to tight, i was led into a room and they started the booking process. Soon i was being handcuffed and led to my cell i was uncuffed and slightly shoved in. I groaned watching as the door shut and the gaurd walked away, i sat down on the bed already starting to feel uncomfortable and the person a few cells away screaming wasn't making it any better. I stared blankly at the wall for a while starting to remember how hard it was to keep track of time in here.

I glanced up at the small window starting to stand up on the bed, i took one glance out the window and could tell it had been hours " fuck" i mumbled

I was knocked out of my thoughts by a loud beeping noise and the door opened, i sighed sitting back down on the bed and a few minutes later a gaurd came walking by " time for dinner merritt" he said 

I didn't even glance away from the wall " not hungry" i said not in the mood

The guard rolled his eyes " did i ask you that" he said intensely

I sighed standing up and walking passed him, i walked with out saying anything and staring straight ahead. As soon as i walked in i imeadly wanted to throw up. I was hoping that i didnt have to actually eat that, i sighed looking around to find a place to sit. I found an empty table and sat down staring off into space, not even five minutes in here and i was already getting a head ache so i closed my eyes for a second.

Untill i heard someone walking behind me "you in my seat nigga" he said

I rolled my eyes as my head started to hurt more " it was empty" i said

The guy set his tray down across from me walking around the table sitting down " cause i wasn't sitting in it yet" he said starting to eat

I sat there for a few minutes already starting to get annoyed with the not talking "you really like that shit?" I asked

The guy rolled his eyes setting the spork down " nah but you get use to it, are you always this annoying?" He asked

I shook my head sighing  "no... you aint gonna tell me to leave or sum" i asked

The guy shook his head " nah it aint that serious, why you want me to make you leave?" He asked

I shook my head glancing down at the table " how long you been in here" i asked

The guy rolled his eyes " fuck bruh , a year and a half mabye i don't know" he said annoyed

I nodded looking up at him " what'd you do?" I asked

The guy's expression imeadly went dark " ain't nobody ever tell you not to ask people what they in for? You slow or sum?" He said

I shook my head " my bad damn... My name's tione" i said

The guy sighed realising i wasn't gonna stop " Taurus" he mumbled

I smiled " like the-" I tried to say but he quickly interrupted me

Taurus shook his head " that joke got old when i was in grade school" he said glancing down at me

Taurus stared at me for a second before laughing " you got little teeth tione" he said

I frowned " no i don't" i said trying to sound intimidating

Taurus smiled shaking his head " nah its not a bad thing, but its a fact girls have smaller teeth" he said

I looked down at the ground trying to stop myself from smiling " ion know what you talking about i aint got little teeth bruh" i said

Taurus shrugged standing up " I think they nice looking, it is what it is though" he said grabbing his tray

I looked up quickly " wait " i said trying to get him to sit back down

Taurus shrugged " see you around " he said before walking away

I went to turn around and he was already gone, i sighed feeling my headache start to appear again. Now i just wanted to go to sleep but I couldn't stop thinking about Taurus
