I went to wash as I already had dinner before coming to the room.

*My inner Einstein while showering*

Who created this myth of werewolf and why? It's like creating a new cartoon for kids, where, the werewolf is a cartoon for teenagers or adults. But every myth has some hidden reality in it...and which is why I was curious about werewolf origin initially... Not because I believe these rumors but because rumors have their origin from somewhere.

Cherry is a person who believes in fantasy whereas I am more into reality and hence I researched about a werewolf and came across some interesting tales/ facts which make me realize that the extent of creativity of the human brain is unlimited.

One of the oldest beliefs about werewolf origin is definitely related to love, where a lady Gilgamesh turns her lover into a wolf in the western prose "The epic of Gilgamesh."

Greek mythology was not far behind because there is an explanation for converting Lycaon (the son of Pelasgus) into a wolf as a punishment by Zeus

Few real cases also took place in history which might fuel the creativity of writers like the serial killing in France in the 16th century, where a duo confessed to killing several children after converting into wolves

Giles Garnier (Werewolf of Dole) did similar actions except that he eats their body later on.

Beliefs and myths are rarely believable when presented in front of medical explanations. The story "Peter the Wild Boy" provides me with a better and understandable explanation about the human brain's creativity in creating a wolf-human combination. The story is based on the reality of 1725 when a boy named Peter was found wandering naked in a German forest. He couldn't speak. He was adopted by the courts of King George I and King George II and lived out his days as their "pet" in England. Research in 1978 has discovered that Peter likely had Pitt-Hopkins syndrome.

Another medical explanation about werewolf-mania was –

Lycanthropy Hypertrichosis Rabies

And hence, my curiosity ended here. These things don't appeal anymore because they are just the outcome of one's creativity. Now rather than the scientific aspect, the werewolf is more about power, dominance, obsession, possession, good looks, love, viciousness, moon goddess, and kidnapping.

Seriously, I never heard of an "ugly" werewolf from Cherry. Not even once. Unbelievable that also...
