Kenma's POV

I wish that Iwaizumi would return. Things are beginning to get difficult. He may be only one person, but he was essential to us and our team. We have evacuated the village, and saved who we could. But we weren't able to stop that monster from rampaging the village and destroying what was left.. and killing who we couldn't get out in time.

And we couldn't do much to stop it. All of our magic was rendered useless against shadows. The only type of magic that would work on it is Iwaizumi's. Perhaps even Akaashi's. But neither of them were able to help us. All we could do is sit and wait.

I turned around and walked over to where the people were. Sakusa and other people with white glyphs were busy trying to heal. And those with black magic were busy trying to keep barriers up. I felt defeated here.

Once that giant shadow creature had shown up, dozens upon dozens of other shadow monsters seemed to appear out of nowhere. They were overrunning everything. And we were surrounded. We couldn't leave. It felt hopeless.

"Kenma..?" I looked over my shoulder, Kuroo walking over. He smiled gently at me and placed his hand onto my shoulder.

"Kuroo.. What do we do. We need to stay safe and keep everyone alive until Iwaizumi returns. But what if we can't..?"

"..."

"I'm sorry I'm not as good as he is."

"Kenma, no one is perfect. And this mess of things is not your doing. It's something far beyond any of our control."

"I guess..."

"Come on. Keep it together.. We're all here together. And we need to keep it together to give these people some hope. And to hold out until Oikawa and Iwaizumi come back."

Oikawa's POV

"I hope this works." I mumbled to myself. I'm scared to do this.. I don't want to trap Iwa-chan in a nightmare. I don't want to hurt and scare him. If it doesn't work, I don't want his last moments to be ones of his own nightmares... But, if it does work...

I took in a deep breath, looking around at the empty area surrounding us before raising my hands, just over Iwa-chan's head. I winced when I tried using my magic. The chains feel like they're searing my skin when I try to use it, but I have to keep trying.

Once I finished the spell, I let my hands drop next to my side as my eyes wandered to Iwa-chan's face. I bit my lip when his face scrunched up slightly.

"Please let these nightmares work.."

Iwaizumi's POV

"Toru?" I looked around the house curiously. Where did he go? I heard crying somewhere outside, so I ran out there. I widened my eyes to find my husband crying while standing on the edge of a cliff end.

"Toru..!" I yelled alarmed. He turned and looked at me, still crying before taking a step closer to the edge.

"Go away!"

"Toru, what's happening..? Get away from there!"

"Shut up! You never loved me, did you!"

"What? Of course I did, I do!"

"Liar!" He screamed at me.

"Oikawa, I'm not lying."

"Yes you are. But, it doesn't matter anyway. Even if you did love me, it doesn't change a thing. I'm worthless. Nothing but an Unblessed..."

"Oikaw-"

"I'm sorry, I couldn't be better..." He said quietly before stepping off the ledge of the cliff. I ran forward, trying to catch him. But I was too late.

"OIKAWA!" I screamed, watching as he fell. I stared quietly as I saw and heard his body hit the bottom of the ground with a thud. He seemed to be staring up at me lifelessly...

"You killed him!" I heard. I got up and turned around, seeing my daughter sobbing hysterically. I got up quickly and walked over to comfort her, but she ran away from me.

"Sweetheart... Please, I-"

"Get away from me! I hate you!" She sobbed and ran off. I chased after her into the village. When we reached the center of my home town, I stopped to see it go up in flames. I heard screaming of people and saw burning corpses collapsing to the ground while still burning.

"Hajime!" I heard someone scream. I frantically turned my head, seeing my mother and father surrounded by rings of fire. I rushed over to save them, but something prevented me from getting to them. I had to stand and watch as they both screamed and burned.

Soldiers ran past me, stopping the spread as best as they could. All I could do is watch. Why were soldiers here. We live far from kingdoms. They may be trying to stop the fire. But I know that my village is considered the outskirts, and is often raided by royal guards like these..

"DADDY!" I heard my daughter scream. Her cries snapped me out of my thoughts, and I ran towards her voice. I stopped when I saw one of the soldiers grab her.

"Hey! Let her go!" I said, the soldier laughing.

"Oh, so we got a special one huh? Well, she's a bit young to take back anyway." He said, drawing his sword. I watched in horror as my daughter screamed for me before the soldier brought the metal blade down, cleanly slicing through her neck. The remains of her body fell onto the ground as the soldier tossed aside what he was holding and ran off.

No, No this... this is a nightmare. This can't be happening. Please let this be a nightmare. I just want to wake up...!
