Chapter 3 - Dead Man Running

Sarah's POV

Currently, Frost, Iris, Cisco, Ralph, Barry, and I were in the lounge. Barry and I told the team about The Monitor telling us that Crisis is coming up soon.

The Monitor?" Cisco asked us. "Where did you see him?"

We went in the Time Vault, right after putting Chester in the MAC," Barry replied as I held his hand. "The Crisis that he spoke about last year, it's the same one in the plinth's newspaper. And it's not coming in 2024. It's coming December 10th 2019.

Are you sure about this?" Ralph asked us.

The jackass lied to you," Killer Frost remarked.

Yeah, well, we thought so, too, but..." I looked at Barry. "Barry went to Earth-3, and Jay Garrick helped him see that it was true.

How did he do that?" Cisco asked.

Jay projected my mind forward into the future," Barry explained.

Okay," Cisco said. "And what did you see?"

I saw a giant wave of anti-matter sweeping over our Earth," Barry said. "Vaporized all of Central City and everybody in it. Including you four."

Great," Frost shrugged. "I'll go mark my calendar." She stands up from the couch.

We still have seven weeks to make sure none of this happens," Barry said.

Guys, Barry's right," Iris said. "We've changed the future before. We can change it again."

Yeah, we can do this," I told the team.

So what else did our Asgardian cosplayer say?" Ralph asked.

I glanced at Barry and he shook his head.

That was pretty much it," Barry said.

Ralph's phone buzzed and he took it out and looked at it. "It's Joe," He said. "Needs me at CCPD, but that can wait. We—we need to get on this."

Yeah, we should spend every minute we have on this," Cisco agreed.

Agreed," Iris said.

No, guys, look, what we should do is take a well-deserved time-out and come back tomorrow with clear heads," I told Cisco, Ralph, and Iris.

Okay," Ralph nodded. "If you think so." He, Cisco, and Iris left.

What now?" I ask my husband.

Then, we saw Frost make an icicle and threw it to the wall. She left as well.

I have to prepare them for what's coming," Barry tells me. "They have to be ready to go on without me. I guess I know who I need to start with."

We looked at the icicle meaning Frost." I sighed. "She'll be ready," I told Barry. "The team is in shock right now and they need to have clear heads including Frost. You just gotta let her understand what's coming and don't let her kill anybody." I kissed his cheek and left the lounge.

I got here. I just came and I was pouring coffee for myself. Iris told me she's with Ralph, Cecile, and Joe to help Ralph's mom since she has been arrested so it's just me in the office.
