Chapter 14
Time skip
You are 16 weeks pregnant. You have begun to develop a baby bump. Bruce said he could tell the gender if you want and you are nervous.
You haven't spoken to anyone but the Barton family since you discovered your pregnancy so Clint taught you sign language so you didn't have to speak. You don't know why that is. You are just fine communicating with them through ASL but when it comes down to actually speaking you only do it infront of the four Barton's and in a few days five.
They have helped you work through some of the issues you deal with. It still causes a slight freak out but you no longer have complete breakdown.
You miss Pietro. Don't misunderstand you miss Wanda too but you always connected easier with Pietro and felt safer talking to him. You feel like if Pietro was there he would be able to help you figure out how to feel about the baby inside of you. You are excited and you really love them, but you are also scared because of how they came to exist.
You were helping Clint and Laura set up the nursery for Nathaniel when you decided to ask them something. "Laura Clint, would you be the baby's godparents?"
Laura turns to you really quickly, "Really?" She asks with excitement in her voice.
"Yeah. you guys have been so supportive through this whole thing and it just feels right." You tell them in a quiet voice.
They look at each other and you panic for a minute thinking you have asked too much from them until Clint says, "we would love to." You rush over and hug them. They both hug you back. It was the first time you hugged them out of joy and not looking for comfort. It felt right.
"Thank you so much." You whisper. You pull away from them and look at the clock. "It's almost time for me to meet with Bruce."
"Okay, do you want us to go with you?" Laura asks.
"I'm pretty sure Bruce is going to tell the gender today so I would like you guys to be there." You see the smiles on their faces.
Tiny time skip
Bruce has done everything he needs to do for your check up on the baby. Now he has the ability to tell you the gender. "Do you want to know?" He asks you. You nod. "Alright it looks like you are having a boy, congratulations." You smile widely and touch your still small baby bump.
"Do you have any ideas for a name?" Laura asks you.
'Pietro' you sign. 'It's my older brother's name.' Laura smiles at this.
