Chaos was ensued as everyone kept running from place to place, different barricades being built as gunshots rang out across Paris. Annette, holding onto her friends hand, followed were most of the boys had gone, dogging and trying to avoid, well, getting killed as they both turned to the street of the Musain, watching as they all began assembling the barricade.

Both girls headed over to a place where they were sure none of their friends would see them, trying to stay hidden until the barricade was built seeing as they could argue that it would be much too dangerous to leave the barricade when there were soldiers at every corner.

Annette watched in amusement as Marius ran towards Grantaire, who was happily seated in one of the chairs inside the Musain, a girl in his lap as he seemed to not even fully realize what was happening.

"Get off your ass it's begun!" Marius scolded, and Annette had to hold in a laugh as she saw her friend haltingly getting up from the chair and pushing the girl away from him. She soon removed the smile from her lips when she turned to see Nicolette looking less than pleased at the sight before her, the girl that was in Grantaire's lap no doubt rubbing her the wrong way.

Soon enough, Joly burst into the Musain and began taking things from it, receiving scolding from Madam Houcheloupe as she tried to stop him in vain.

"We need as much furniture as you can throw down!" the girls heard Courfeyrac yelling up at the small houses. Immediately after, the people complied as they began throwing down everything they could, ranging from chairs, to beds and even a piano, everything was falling into place as they fought to build the barricade, "throw everything you have!"

Both girls decided that helping was the best way they could go about it and they quickly began helping to place chairs and tables on top of the barricade, weary as to not be seen. However, as Annette turned to her side, she saw someone that she recognized yet had not expected to see there.

"Eponine?" she whispered, seeing as the girl frantically turned around and breathed out a sigh of relief to see that it was only Annette "what are you doing here?"

"I couldn't leave him alone" she whispered sadly "so I dressed up as a man and well, just don't tell anyone please! What about you?"

"Same as you" Annette replied slowly "just- be careful alright?"

When she received a nod in return, both of them parted ways carefully and went back to helping. Annette darted over to the Musain and Nicolette followed her. When they got there, they were both faced with what had to be the most hilarious interaction ever. Madam Houcheloupe was stubbornly seated down on one of the chairs of the cafe, refusing to move away from it whilst Grantaire argued with her.
