Spencer stared at his computer screen. He couldn't help but think at the weird feeling he had gotten when he had shook Agent Morgan's hand. Even though it had been weird, and unexpected, it had also been kind of nice. It filled him with a feeling of comfort and happiness.

Spencer hadn't been able to concentrate after the encounter. He desperately needed something to distract him. So, obviously, he felt relived when Hotch and an agent with blond long hair walked into the room and told them they had a new case. Spencer quickly got up from his desk, and followed the others to where they were having the briefing.

They walked into a nice rectangular room with screens and whiteboards on the two short walls. There was a counter on the same long side at the door they had just entered though, and the counter had cups and coffee on it. In the middle of the room was a big round table with many wooden chairs surrounding it. Spencer walked over and sat down in the free chair between Hotch and Morgan.
"-What do we have JJ?"

The blond agent walked in front of the rest and started to present the case to them. Spencer instantly felt guilty about his earlier thought.
"-We have been called to Seattle, Washington, to help out with a series of child abductions and murders." The agent said.
Hateful feelings towards the unsub growing the more they learned about the crimes done against the children. Not that there were much to talk about, they didn't have many leads.

"-These children was found on playgrounds. There have been found three children, but there are reasons to believe there might be more. They have ligature marks on their wrist, and there were found water in their lungs." She told them.

"-So they were drowned?" Hotch asked.

JJ nodded: "-That is believed to be the cause of death."

Spencer looked up at the pictures of the young boys behind JJ. Henry Fuller, Stanley Lewis, and Riley Hanson. If you looked away from the blue-whiteness in their face, they looked almost peaceful. Like they were sleeping. The body's had been laid carefully down underneath the slides on the different playgrounds. All of them had messy, short, blond hair and they looked so innocent. Spencer felt like reaching out, holding the boys close, and protect them from the world. He could now feel the anger boil inside him. He would catch this unsub, no matter what.

"-Wheels up in 20. Guys we need to catch this guy, before we find another body." Hotch said, standing up from the table and gathering his paper. All of them hurried out of the room, to gather their stuff so they could leave in a hurry.

---

Spencer was standing by his desk putting his files into his brown leather shoulder bag, when he heard footsteps approaching him.

"-Not really a good first case, right New Guy." The footsteps belong to Derek. Spencer turned to look at him. Derek was standing there, leaning against the edge of his desk, arms crossed over his chest, and a beautiful smile plastered on his lips.

"-No, not exactly." Spencer said, closing his bag and sliding it onto his shoulder. Then he turned back to look at Derek. Derek looked back at him curiously.

"-Is that all your bringing?" he said, glancing at the bag on Spencer's shoulder.

"-Well, yeah. I haven't packed a travel bag, wasn't exactly planning on leaving on the first day of the job. And I wont reach home, and back, in time for the plane." Spencer said with a shrug.

"-Okey. I guess we'll just go shopping as soon as we have time." Derek said, smiling at Spencer and giving him a clap on the shoulder. Derek's smile gave Spencer a fluttering feeling in his stomach, and he couldn't help but smile back. Then they walked together to the plane.

---

Spencer was sitting in one of the window seats. Derek was sitting beside him. In front of him was a table, and on the other side sat the two female agents. They had been flying in silence, but now the two older male agents were moving over so all of them were surrounding the table.

"-Time for a briefing." Hotch said. JJ handed them all case files.

"-Why are we being called in?" asked the black haired female agent, known as Emily Prentiss. She looked over at JJ.

"-Because yesterday another boy went missing, and he matches the victimology." JJ answered. She put a picture of a young boy on the table, he looked to be around 7 years old, same age range as the others. The boy had blond hair, and bright, curious, blue eyes.

"-He was reported missing by his parents, just a few hours ago. Dustin Douglas..." JJ said, pointing to the boy in the picture. "- was supposed to return from school at three pm, but he didn't. The parents called the parents of his friends to ask if he was there, but they all told them their children hadn't see him since he walked from school. So at five pm they called the police."

"-As we know, the first 24 hours of a child abduction is the most important. After that we rarely find them alive." Hotch said.

"-But this unsub keeps his victims for a week before he kills them." Morgan said back, frowning a bit.

"-I know. But we need to threat this as any other child abduction case, just in case their is another unsub."

"-Statistically the chance of having two murderers in the same town, at the same time, are infinitesimal." Spencer said. All of the others turned to look at him. Then Hotch nodded.

"-The chance of it being someone else are really small. But I still propose that we intensely work the case, and try to find this kid as soon as possible." He said.
"-So when we get to Seattle, Prentiss and Rossi you go to the station and start setting up. Me and JJ will go talk to the Douglases. Morgan and Reid you go check out the way Dustin walked home from school."

The team nodded at Hotch's orders. After that everyone went back to their seats, and continued with whatever they were doing before the briefing.

Spencer turned in his chair, and looked out the window at the country bellow. It looked so peaceful, you wouldn't think it existed so many monsters down there.
