~Miguel POV~

Awkward. That's exactly what I feel at this moment. Awkward.

Mr. Graveman, or Xander as he wants me to call him, joined us on our lunch today. And not only him, but most of the people in our department tagged along. When they heard the new boss will be there, they immediately jumped at the opportunity to get close to him.

We are currently at The Full waiting for our orders. I have Leiline sitting on my left side, and Xander at my right.

But what makes this lunch awkward is Xander himself. While everyone else were too eager to attend to his needs to catch his attention, he is too eager to attend to mine. He won't leave my side much to my irritation. And he keeps on asking if I need or want anything. Even after so many no's, he still won't stop.

I can feel the stares the everyone is throwing me. That I wouldn't really mind. But he annoys the hell out of me. And this is supposed to be mine and Leiline's quiet time. One that he so flawlessly ruined. Stupid jerk.

"Do you need anything else?" Xander asked for the nth time while resting his hand on my shoulder. Discreetly touching me again.

I carefully shrug his hand off of me. "No sir, I am perfectly fine." Another thing that makes everything so awkward and annoying is how he seems to have so many excuses to touch me. He would place his hand on my lower back while we were walking. Like, dude! I'm not a girl. Do it with someone else. Then he would tap my shoulder every time he will call me and he will let his hand rest in there. As if calling me is not enough. And he would then hold my arm whenever he wants while talking to me. And it freaks the hell out of me.

He don't look like he's gay. So I don't want to get to the idea that he might like me. One that Leiline pointed out when she got me out of earshot.

Well, if he's one, I will definitely take my distance. Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against homosexuals, I actually have my fair share of gay friends. But if they're hitting on me, that's the time I think I should make an action. I'm just not into them.

Our food came in and we all started eating. I ordered a double patty burger and fries with cola as a drink. And it's absolutely yummy. The meat is tasty and juicy. Just enough for my taste buds.

Conversations started as everyone wants to get some information about Xander. But the later only answered few of the questions and won't let any necessary information slip.

That is until Leiline decided to open her big mouth and include me in the topic. "Mr. Graveman," she started. Yep! Everybody else is required to call him that except me. Which adds up to the reasons for Leiline to tease me. "Miguel here loves lawn tennis. That is his favorite past time. How about you? Have any sports you're good at?"

"Really?" he sounded so excited. My body stiffen as I felt him put his left hand on one of my legs under the table. "I'm into football like everyone else. But I would like to learn how to play tennis if you'll teach me." And that, my friend, is the first personal information he opened up.

Hearing that, it feels like they all got a hint on how to get his attention. Include me in the conversation and he will come along. And by the looks they are all giving me, I doubt none of them is thinking I have nothing to do with Xander. Them and their malicious minds.

I tried to push his hand off my lap and it is a partial success. Why? Cause I was able to remove his hands off of my lap. But he held my hand too tight and just won't let it go no matter how hard I tried to snatch it away. He intertwined our fingers together and a smile so bright like he won the lottery came into his lips.

Leiline is eyeing me suspiciously. As if she knows it has something to do with me.

"Is your food up to your liking, babe?" I jumped a little when he suddenly whispered in my ears. I can feel his hot breath in my skim as he speak. I was too busy trying to pull my hand out of his grip that I didn't notice him moving too close to me.

"You're not eating your food. Would like to ordet another one?" This time he asked loud enough to be heard by everyone in the table. I didn't spare him a look but I can feel his eyes burning a hole into my face.

The table grew quiet, giving me the hint that they're all listening to our conversation. Like they're all waiting for my response.

As if I could eat with you holding one of my hands! I want to shout on his face but I wouldn't dare. Not because I'm scared of him, believe me I'm not, but because it will blow the fact that he is indeed holding my hand. And they might all think we're in a relationship.

I grind my teeth to control my temper and took a deep breath to calm myself. Maybe he's doing this to amuse himself. To see me lose control and make fun of me. Well, I won't let him win.

"I'm perfectly fine sir. Please don't mind me." I said gripping his hand so hard saying game on in my mind.

Short update... sorry....

(I made a little editing. Some noticeable typo and wrong grammar. Nothing big.)
