Chapter 10- Strange..

Meep- POV

Third person:

"Hey there, y'all!" A purple-headed woman said.

Everyone looked at the lady in confusion, but still in suspect.

"Now, where's-"

"ANE-CHAN?!" Naruto said in a sudden, turning all heads to his corner.

'Big sister??'  They all thought as the young lady ran up to their little blonde.

"Naruto!!" She exclaimed, lifting the said boy up and squeezing him tight "I'm so happy to see your face for once - how've yah been?"

Sasuke jumped in response to the sudden action, hitting his butt on the grass.

Naruto looked down to the ground infront of him for a second while she put him to his feet "..Great, except for y'know what."

"I see.." she muttered back. "So, is that your little 'boyfriend' you were supposed to be looking after?" Anko asked slyly, pointing down at Sasuke.

The raven and little fox's eyes widened, blush rising to their cheeks in a flash.

"OI! I TOLD YOU NOT TO TALK ABOUT THE MISSIO-" Naruto started, then realised what he was saying. "..He's also not  my 'boyfriend'.." he reached out a hand for Sasuke.

Anko took a quick look up and down at the raven. 'He almost looks just like Itachi..'

"Hey listen up, Uchiha." She glared at the poor kid "you guys done anything to my 'lil bro?"

The rest of the genin gulped in the sudden change of atmosphere, and the senseis interrupted the conversion before Sasuke could answer.

"Excuse me.. miss?" Kurenai asked for her name, still suspicious.

She smiled a great smile, just like how Naruto does "Anko, call me Anko!"

"Err.. yes. What is your exact reason to interrupt our evening?" Asuma carried on for the other teachers.

Anko out her head up in a thinking pose "Ah yes, Lady Hokage had asked me to come over to check on Naruto here -" she looked over to the still fuming boy.

"- and looks like he's doing pretty well for his situation so far." She added.

'Situation? What situation is that Anko talking about?' Kakashi thought in his head, not wanting to ruin the conversion between the adults.

Strangely enough, the purplehead caught sight of the dog version of Team7's sensei, and looked at him suspiciously.

"Hmm.. that dog over there looks a lot like Kakashi"

Kakashi gulped, thinking he had been caught.

"Nahhh, I'm just playing there big guy. Where is that Kakashi anyway?" Anko laughed.

"Uh.. uhhh......." Sakura stated, "Kakashi-sensei is out of the village, he's currently on a mission."

"Thanks 'lil girl" she said, now turned to the pink girl and the rest of the group. "My, are these all your friends, Naruto?"

"I've told you 'bout that, didn't I?"

"Yeah, back in when we were-.." Anko stopped herself from speaking any further.
"Anyway, what are y'all doing right now? I wanna take Naruto with me for a second."

"Um.. sure. You can take Naruto along with you." Team8's sensei agreed while the two made their route away from the camp "make sure you're back in time though, we'll be preparing dinner soon."

"Yes, sensei!" The blonde shouted to his back "I wanna help prepare the food anyway!"

...

After the chat..

"N-n-naruto-kun, c-can you c-come over here  f-f-for a second ..??" Hinata shyly asked, recieving the attention of the boy.

"Hey Hinata! Sure, I'm coming!"

Sasuke sighed as he saw the blond boy walk off with the Hyuga to the fireplace.

Sasuke's POV:

'Aww man.. I was gonna ask him about.... that.'  I thought in head as I saw the dobe's back grow smaller.

Soon enough, the pair were gone behind the trees.

'What did that Anko girl mean about 'looking after' me and a 'mission' anyway? Isn't the dobe only here to become the "stupid Hokage"? '

I blushed once again from what she thought about us: "So, is this your little 'boyfriend' you were supposed to be looking after?"

Her voice grew louder in my head, me trying to cover up the blush with my collar incase anyone was watching.

Third person:

"Wassup, sensei?" Naruto asked, looking down at the raw fish on sticks.

"You said you wanted to help prepare us the meal, if I can remember." Kurenai said.

Naruto bounced up with excitement "YEAH!! I know how to cook some if you'd like?"

"Of course," she answered "I need to go check up on the others to see how they're getting on."

He saluted, making the poor Hyūga jump up in surprise "Okay!"

"Oh, 'm sorry, Hinata." Hinata blushed in embarrassment for god knows how many now, and ran off.

"Strange.." the blonde thought while watching her accidentally bump into a tree.

Tenten asked looking down at her friend "Hinata, are you okay?!"

"Y-y-yes!!" She stuttered, and carried on running.
