Chapter 11- Friendship and love

Meep- POV

Third person:

"Oh hey, Naruto!" Ino waved from the campfire to come over.

The blonde walked over to one of his friends, sitting himself down next to her.

"Is there anything wrong?" He asked her, trying to read her facial expression.

She looked down at her lap, falling silent for a bit.

Ino bit her lip "It's about Sasuke."

Naruto just shrugged as she looked at her, confused.

"Aren't you going to react?"

"Hm?" He questioned "ohh, sure, go on."

"Yeah, so y'know how that Sakura is always going after Sasuke- hm?" She started "Uh-huh, so I really don't wanna carry on doing that same thing.."

Naruto tried to find the girl's sad eyes "How come? Did something happen?"

Ino eyed herself again "I don't want to keep having fights with her, I just want to see my best friend happy." And she smiled a small, but warm smile.

The boy waited for her to relax herself because she kept fidgeting with her hair, obviously uncomfortable.

"Look, Ino. I'm here for you!" He grabbed her hands softly "I'm sure you guys are gonna become real friends if you tell Sakura-chan of this - believe it!"

The other blond genin smiled teary-eyed and opened up for Naruto to hug her, which he happily goes along with. He felt her back and stroked her hair, calming her down.
The Yamanaka's emerald-green eyes shone brightly under the moon as she wiped her tears.

"Now, where's the fish you guys should've caught a while ago?" Naruto looked around, trying find atleast a bucket of them.

Ino handed him a big tray of sliced-up fish "Here, I cut them into peices and got rid of most of the bones for you."

"..thanks for comforting me, Naruto." She whispered.

The genin looked up from the fish he was poking a stick through "No problem. You never leave a friend to cry by themselves, right?"

She nodded and suddenly asked "Well.. have you ever cried by yourself? No one there with you?"

Minutes of quietness drowned their conversation, finally with a "I'd rather not say."

Crack.

The two students looked up from the fire, and searched the area of what caused the sound "W-what was that..?"

Suddenly, Scarecrow pounced onto the blond boy, licking him all over his face.

"Scarecrow! Woah there - haha!!" Naruto fell to the ground, chuckling happily as the dog shown so much love to his student.

Sakura's POV:

"I don't want to keep having fights with her, I just want to see my best friend happy."

I suddenly felt a gush of tears fall from my face, dropping onto the grass.

My silent crying carried on from my hiding space behind a tree, one of my hands covering my mouth as I sobbed.

"Why, Ino? I was so cruel to you. We both liked the same boy, and I even ruined our precious friendship just for him! And you still want to be my friend.."  I just cried in my head.
