Waking up to a banging headache , I groaned in pain . Getting up from the floor , I unlock my door walking to the bathroom . Turning the shower on hot . As steam filled the room , I began to strip out my clothes . My eyes landed on the dark purple marks around my neck from last night Tyrone made . Tears began to fill my eyes thinking about what could've happened . Getting into the shower I flinched feeling the burning sensation against my skin . The only thing that was clouding my mind was how my life was . Trying my best to scrub away all my problems off my body as if it was going to work . I punch the wall before falling down in the tub .

"What's wrong with you Nene ?" Key asked , her new nickname for me . She invited me to come out to this festival along with Rayne and Rayne's cousin Javion . "You should be smiling , Demo and his brother was hitting on you last night ." Javion joked taking a couple of Key's fries while she wasn't looking . "Nah I'm fine , just thinking ."

"Get out of wonder land and enjoy this time baby girl ." Rayne smiled , I smiled back . Maybe for once I should let everything go for right now . The four of us walked to the front waiting for the big performer to come out . Key wouldn't tell me who it was and that it was a surprise .
DNA started playing and to my surprise Kendrick came out rising his hands as everyone cheered and clapped for him . "OUCH ! What was that for ?" Key laughed after I punched her shoulder . "I fucking hate you ." I laughed rapping along to the words . Everyone know I'm a huge Kendrick Lamar fan and I don't play when some come for him , put you in ya place in a heartbeat . "Okay okay , you know this show wouldn't be lit if I don't bring out ya boy J COLE ." I screamed as he walked cross the stage waving out to us . "Let the show began ." HUMBLE played as he began to rap the words .

"Why you didn't tell me ?" I whined pushing Key , I was so excited I finally got to see and meet Kendrick and J Cole for the first time . Key knew people at the place and we got to talk to them before they left for their hotel . The offered to take us out later on the night , but declined . Instead Kendrick gave me his hat , J kissed my cheeks , and both of them followed me back on Instagram .
"It was a surprise stupid ." As we were walking back to the car some girl ran up to Javion flirting with him . I can't lie , I was a little jealous because she was a short cute light skin , looked to be around our age with long black wavy hair to her butt . Speaking of butt , the girl was blessed with a full DD cups and ass for days . But Javion smoothly turned her down by saying he wasn't looking for a relationship at the moment .
She was upset a little , Javion notice and gave her his number . "What !" He barked look at the three of us as we saw what just happened . "Are you going to tell her before she catch feelings ?" Key asked crossing her arms . He sighed waving her off . "Tell her what ?" I just met them yesterday and didn't know as much as they knew each other . "He's gay ." Rayne blurted out making Javion pushing the shit outta her . Key and I bust out laughing as Rayne hit the ground . "Always running yo big ass mouth ." Javion growled eyeing as Rayne began to laugh along with the two of us .
"It's okay Javion , I'm not judging you ." He sighed in relief .
"We should be going , Mom cooking dinner and she want us home now ." Key said unlocking the car .

"That's why I was riding ya daddy dick last night hoe ." Rayne yelled as Key flicked her off unlocking the front door . Walking into the house , the smell of chicken hit my nose making my stomach growled in hunger . Going into the kitchen , I saw a short white lady who looked young . "JAVION !" A little light skin boy said running up to Javion hugging his leg . "Hey little buddy ." Javion laughed picking the boy up swinging him around a couple times before putting him back on the ground .
"Nene , this is my mom . Mom this is my friend Trinity ." The lady turned around giving me a warm smile . They looked just a like , her mom was a little shorter and Key eye's were more slanted and small . "You look so young ." I awe hugging her . "I'm only twenty - eight honey ." She laughed before calling the little boy over to her . "She had me when she was twelve , young I know right ." I was shocked a little .
"This is my baby brother Dejuan , Juan this is Trinity ." He cheesed showing his two missing teeth . Hearing laughing and loud talking , we turned out head to see Dee , Demo , and the officer I met at school who told me about Tracey's death . "Oh Dad this is my friend Trinity ." Key ran up to him hugging him . "We met ." Key gave me an unsure look before looking up at him . "I'll explain later Key ." He kissed the top her head .
"Who's ready for dinner ?" Mrs . Davis said . Everyone rushed to the diner table , I sat between Dee and Rayne . "So how long you and Key known each other ?" Mrs . Davis asked as her and Demo placed plates full of food onto the table . "Some teen talk program Avery's mom put me in yesterday and we began to talk from there ."
She nodded her head taking a seat between Mr . Davis and Javion . We prayed over the food before eating it .

"You want me to come by in the morning and get you ?" Key dropped Rayne and Javion off already . I found out her Dad , Mr . Davis got a job down here working for the police headquarters and they moved from Indiana . Her and Dee were starting their first day of high school at our school . Rayne and Javion been going to my school since Freshman year , we said our hey's and hello's but nothing past that .
"Umm sure , swing by no later than 8:15 ." After thanking her , I got out the car and headed inside . Nancy's house was filled with the smell of cigarettes and loud talking . Walking into the kitchen , I saw her and a group of her friends sitting down playing card .
"Where were you ? I called that bitch Mrs . Parker asking for you . But she told me you wasn't with her ." Nancy said side eyeing me placing her cigarette in the ash tray . Tyrone eyed me like I was prey , licking his lips while rubbing his chin hairs . I mugged him in disgusted . "I was with a couple friends I met at this program she signed me up from ." I told her honestly still eyeing Tyrone . "Baby you know she was with some nappy headed boy ." He chuckled making Nancy's eyes grow big .
"Probably so , gone end up just like Tracey ass sprung on that stuff ."
My blood was boiling and I could feel my hands shaking , but I'm not going to let that get to me . You're strong than that . I repeated over and over again in my head before taking a deep breath . "Your point ?" I calmly said looking between the two . Tyrone stood up from the table walking over to me . "You think you grown now ?" He sized me up as if I'm suppose to be scared of his ass . "And you're sure as hell not my father , get back home to wife and kids . Oops did I say that out loud ." I laughed in his face .
I guess that hit a nerve in him and in a snap he grabbed me by my neck pushing me into the wall . I was shocked , but not scared . "I will end you bitch ." He said inches away from my face . "Ty stop , she's just a little girl ." One of his friends said trying to get him to let go . My eyes began to get low and that's when he let go , gasping for air . I felt a hard kick to my stomach . "Next time I won't be so nice ." He growled grabbing whatever he had with him and left . Everyone who at the table was too shocked and left along with him .
I was in too much pain to even get up and go to room . "Learn your lesson ." Nancy kneed down blowing smoke in my face .
