Old Demons

Tim wakes up on the couch and realizes that Mia isn't with him. He looks around and noticed that it was still pretty dark outside. He got up and grabbed a black long sleeve shirt that was nearby. He groaned a bit as he put the shirt on. Tim then heard some movement near the front door and walked over to the noise and saw Mia who  was about to leave.

"I'm guessing you're going home." Tim stated in a slightly tired way. Mia turned to him and said "Yeah, I was going to wake you up but I backed out and settled with texting you later." Mia told him

"Are we okay?" Tim asked in a genuine way with worry as a crossed his arm and walked closer to Mia "Is it about last night?" Tim added

"Listen, I just still don't know how to feel about the stunt you pulled." Mia admitted

"You know, for what is worth I really do care about you and I was just doing what I thought was right." Tim told her with a bit of worry in his tone

"I know you love me and I really love you too but I just need time." Mia told him

"Can you elaborate on that? You just sound conflicted." Tim told her

"I know that I'm conflicted. I know you mean well at heart. I don't want to loose you,  I'm sure every will be alright." Mia told him

"So were fine?" Tim asked

Mia hugged him and said "Yeah ." Tim hugged her back he enjoyed the moment and then told Mia "If you need anything and I literally mean anything, just call." Mia stepped back and said "Than can you actually getting some rest and not fight crime the second I leave."

"That's a tall order." Tim told her with a slight laughed followed by Mia playfully hitting him with Tim jokingly saying "Ow" She then pleaded "Please, for me." Tim responded with "Sure."

"Bye." Mia said followed by her leaving.

A little while later Mia entered the bunker and saw William and Connor were talking. She approached and asked "Where are we on locating the Hunter?"

"Long gone by now. Knight watch is tracking to locate as we speak." Connor told her

"Although from what I hear, the Canaries have a case for us." William told Mia as he looked at his phone

"Is it of any importance?" Mia asked

"According to Zoey it might be urgent enough to put our little hunter issue to the side." Connor told her

"Where's Daniel and Maya?" William asked

"Daniel and Maya are still on their way. I'll go on my own." Mia told them followed by her starting to leave

Connor suggest rather hesitantly "I can go with you." Mia turn back to him but before she could answer William got up and said awkwardly "Actually I'll go with you." he then added "Connor you can catch Maya and Daniel up to speed when they here."

Once William and Mia got on the elevator Mia whispered to him "Real smooth."

Once both them arrived a canary hide out. They see that Zoey is training some canaries she tell to stop as they all stop and stand straight up. Zoey faces William and Mia and asked what can I help you with?"

"William said you had a lead on something big." Mia told her

"Right, follow me." Zoey told them as they followed into a computer room she handed William a USB drive and said "A man called the Scientist. According to some sources this man is recreating some type of drug."

"Any idea what it is?" William asked

"Well this Scientist has supposedly hired bank robbers to back his research. Whatever he's making is most probably dangerous" Zoey told them
