The Rainforest District looked just as I had seen it on that train when I first woke up here and met Judy for the first time.

It was, unsurprisingly, a giant rainforest, with large trees, huge leaves, thick vines, and rainwater covering or dripping from everything around.

Judy lead the way across a bridge, I followed close behind her and Nick followed behind me.

Across the bridge was a barely noticeable wooden door with green vines hanging down just above it and large leaves growing around.

Judy walked up ringing the doorbell. "Mr. Manches? Judy Hopps, and (Y/n) (L/n), ZPD. We just want to know what happened to Emmitt Otterton."

The door creaked open, just barely revealing a tall black colored jaguar looking right at us.

Hopefully, this Jaguar has the answers we need.

"You should be asking what happened to me!" Manchas said, showing us his other eye which had a nasty scratch across it.

I brought a paw up to my mouth, as I gasped. The fox and bunny by my side having very similar reactions.

"Whoa. A teensy otter did that?" Nick asked, emerald eyes wide, confused just like Judy and me.

"Sir, what happened?" I asked him, concerned.

"He was an animal," Manchas began dramatically, "Down on all fours. He was savage!"

Manchas continued. "There was no warning. He just kept yelling about the Night Howlers. Over and over, the Night Howlers!"

The three of us exchanged looks, silently asking each other if we knew what the hell Manchas was talking about.

Nick thought for a moment before speaking. "Oh, so you...know about the Night Howlers too."

Oh, I see what you're getting at Nick. Clever.

"Good, good. Because the Night Howlers are exactly what we are here to talk about, right?" Nick looked over at Judy and me.

Judy and I nodded along. "Yep. So, uh, you just open the door and tell us what you know, and we will tell you what we know. Okay?"

Manchas paused before giving a small nod. "Okay..."

He closes the door, beginning to unlock it.

"Clever fox." Judy compliments, glancing over at Nick. Nick just gives his signature smirk, satisfied with his work.

Suddenly my ears go straight up when hearing glass shattering and a loud thump followed by a grunt from Mr. Manchas, on the other side of the door.

"Mr. Manchas...?" Judy calls out from behind me as I push open the door.

His entire house is dark and there is Mr. Manchas hunched over on the floor, his form squirming around as his paws grip at his head.

Nothing is heard except for his pain-filled grunting.

"Buddy?" Nick calls out.

"Are you... okay?" Judy questions slowly.

Mr. Manchas turns to face us. He is on all fours, his white razor-sharp teeth barred, and his once dotted pupils now slits staring us down.

Every single part of me was telling me to run.

"Guys...run. Run!" I shout, ushering them out as we all took off in the pouring rain.

I followed right behind Judy and Nick as we raced across the bridge, Manchas chasing us from behind.

"What is wrong with him?!" Nick thought out loud. "I don't know!" Judy answered.
