Catching Criminals

Judy and I were hard at work, writing tickets left and right to the not so cheerful citizens of Zootopia. So far it had been a painfully uneventful and long day.

It seemed that both me and Judy were wanting to do more than parking duty but unfortunately, that's what we are stuck with doing, and it seemed it would be that way for awhile. 

"I was thirty seconds over!"
"Ugh, yeah! You two are real heroes!"
"My mommy says she wishes you were dead, " "Uncool! My tax dollars pay your salary!" are just a few of the lovely comments Judy and me got during duty so far.

Judy had just written a ticket and sat beside me in the meter maid car when she started hitting her head on the steering wheel chanting, "I am a real cop, I am a real, I am a real cop..."

I was about to comfort her when a weasel carrying an orange duffel bag sprinted out of the store right beside us. A pig rushed out from behind him.

Wait! Did that weasel just rob that store?!

"Hey, Hey, Hey! You cops!" The pig yelled at us catching Judy's attention. "Sir, if you have a grievance you may contest your citation in-" I cut Judy off.

"Did he just rob your store?" I asked quickly which immediately shocked Judy. "Yes! Look he's getting away!" The store owner shouted back at me pointing at the sprinting weasel.

"Oh! Sir, don't worry we got this!" Judy shouts as we both hop up and throw off the meter maid outfit, as we go after the robber.

The weasel looks back at the both of us, to see we're on his tail. "Catch me if ya can!" He shouts speeding up.

I follow closely behind Judy as we dodge our way through the crowd.

Wow, adrenaline is one hell of a drug! I would have never been able to do this as a human.

Then suddenly, one of our fellow officers show up, parking in the crowd.

"This is officer Mchorn, we got a 10-31, huh?" The officer noticed us.

Judy hops over the cop car and slides over the windshield, as I quickly run around it.

"We call dibs!" Judy shouts as we sprint off, "Officers Hopps and (L/n), we are in pursuit!"

I notice the weasel throw the duffel bag over a tall gate and squeeze through the little entrance, entering a tiny town made for mice and other small animals.

Judy manages to slide through the entrance as I brace myself and run and leap up, using my paw/claws/talons to swing myself over the gate and into the tiny community safely.

Wow, didn't think I'd manage to do that!

"You, freeze!" Judy demands the robber. The rhinoceros cop from earlier ran up the gate, instructing us to wait for the "real" cops.

We continue to carefully dodge through the mice, as we both after the robber. I made sure to be more careful since I was much larger than these little rodents and I did not want to squish one of these little guys.

I was right behind Judy as we weaseled our way through the town of Little Rodentia and try to get the robber, just when I saw the robber kick at a donut shop, with a decorative donut sign, causing it to come loose and make its way through the town.

Judy and I panicked when I saw it about to crush a mouse, walking out of a story with her friends. I didn't hesitate to grab the donut and stop it from crushing her.

"Are you okay?" I worriedly asked her, as she slowly looked up at me. "Yes... Thanks for saving my life!" She thanked me, gratefully. I grinned, "Oh, it's no problem!"
