Your apprentice cat may be different from your kit-cat. For example, one of my OCs was adventurous and bouncy as a kit. She was very close to her sister but grew apart as an apprentice because she became more quiet and reserved. You can add or extend traits, or you can keep the same personality.
Try the cause and effect method. Think about how your OC would change after:
A big battle
A draught
The death of a family member
A very cold winter
A fight with a family member
For example, a big battle could make a cat more jumpy. A very cold winter could make a cat determined to hunt more and make the cat overwork themselves.
