no pocky game for you

*Mikasa POV*
I swallowed nervously, I had to pull myself together now, if my plan had to work.
I rummaged something out of my pocket. It was a box of pockys, a popular candy in Japan, but it also had other uses.
I opened the pack.
Me and Eren were on our way home from school.
"Would you like one? "
I asked innocently, holding out the box of pockys to Eren.

He smiled and nodded, but when he was about to take one out of the small box, I withdrew my hand and shook my head.
Eren looked at me confused.
I took a pocky and put it in my mouth. Blushing, I waited for Eren to respond to this little challenge.

"What is this supposed to mean, Mikasa?"
Eren raised an eyebrow.

"Well, youf hamfe to play the pocky game wiff me, if you want mone~" I mumbled, still with the pocky in my mouth.

"That's ridiculous, I don't want one anymore."
Eren said annoyed and turned away, focused on the street.

Sadly, I looked at the ground thoughtfully.
Did he not want to kiss me?
Perhaps he did not really reciprocated my feelings?
Or does he found the thing with the pockys just cringy?

Disappointed, I put the pockys back in my pocket.
Suddenly Eren grabbed my hand and pulled me close just to kiss me.
The happiness I felt now, completely displaced my surprise.
That was my first kiss.
And also my first kiss with Eren, my crush since childhood.

When we parted, Eren smiled, his cheeks slightly pink.
"I don't need a pocky to kiss you..."

I looked at him with big, shining eyes, amazed how cute and cool Eren was.
So he feels something for me... I was happy.
I smiled and hugged him tightly.
Eren pated my head.

"Can you two make room please?"
Only too late we realized, that we were blocking the narrow side of the road.
I let Eren go in embarrassment, so that the man could pass.

"Um... wanna go home, holding hands or something?"
Eren asked suddenly when the man was not within earshot.

I blushed then nodded.
Just the thought of holding Eren's hand made my heart beat faster.
So Eren took me by the hand and we continued our way home.
