Unrequited love

Alone with my somnambulism I walk under the night lights.

Gleaning inside my mind for clues of who I am.

Everything is too bright, too colorful. My opaque soul can't handle it all.

Do you remember me? I don't. Your scent surprises me in dark alleys, were you there? Where am I?

Our love was rotten, forbidden, and soon forgotten.

My skin yearns your touch, and my heart sings your lullabies.

I'm a lost kid inside a city too big for my small mind.

Sorry for letting you go...I'm sorry for biting that hard.

I'll turn to dust at morning, while you turn someone else into a monster.

Until then...I'll keep dancing inside old memories. Until then.
