It's been a day since the incident at USJ. Though the heroes took out the villains without anyone being seriously injured, but a thought lingers, clawing at your mind. What if the heroes didn't help on time

Suddenly, The image of the hand villain flashes in your mind, his cruel laughter echoes in your skull, chilling every single inch of your body. Another question came in mind, what would've happen to everyone? Your classmates... All Might.....Izuku but it's a question you already knew the answer to. 

'They....They would've...all...'

[M/N]: "[Y/N]?"

"Huh?"

You snap out of your state of mind, finding your mother's face written with worry on it. You look back down to the plate of food to see it's been practically gored by you dragging your fork in the repeated pattern

[M/N]: "Are you feeling well? You barely ate at all."

"It's nothing. Just some had some stuff more than on my plate." You gloomily smiled as you pick at your plate

At this moment, the strawhat boy made a grave mistake. Not knowing the innate powers that all mothers have even before the appearance of quirks. Being a living breathing lie detector when it comes to their children

[M/N]: "Is it about what happened at USJ? You can get it off your chest by telling me how you're feeling."

"Mom, It's fine. Really"

Your mother huffs in annoyance and stands up from her seat

[M/N]: "Well since you're "fine", I'll just leave you be and give this to Tako instead." 

She takes the plate of food while the small octopus bobs his head from the top of his aquarium curiously

"Wait!" Your mother turns around and walks back to set the plate down. Then takes a seat opposite from you while she leans her head against her arm. You sigh as you give in

"It's just that...everyone could've gotten hurt or worse. I could've even loose my best friend just because I wasn't strong enough to help him, how could I be a hero if I couldn't even save the ones around me?"

You both sit there for what seems to be forever until she broke the silence

[M/N]: "I know being thrown into that situation was tough especially how young you are. Though. stressing over it and bashing yourself over it won't do anything but hurt you, you should see it as what's at stake and use this to grow even more to protect those close around you."

She leans forward, resting her hand on yours and smiles warmly

[M/N]: "Know that I'm here to back you up and cheer you on."

Your mother's almost radiant smile made the corners of your mouth curl until you flash your signature grin

"Thanks, Mom!"

[M/N]: "Now let's eat before the food gets too cold."

Upon that, you digged in with no hesitation. Enjoying the food as your worries seem to disappear by the comforting atmosphere shared around the table
