HANA WALKED BESIDE RAY on the streets of little ole' Carp, her cold hands being stuffed into the pockets of her jean shorts. The two had been searching for clues for about an hour and the girl almost started to give up.
"I'm not sure, Ray. Why don't we take a break?" Hana asked, turning her head to look at the man beside her. His eyebrows were furrowed in thought, his jaw slightly clenched. Amongst the exhaustion that had set in her eyes, Hana couldn't help but feel that familiar tingling feeling in her stomach she felt when she was around him. It was something she was quick to shrug off many times before.
Ray parted his lips to say something only to halt to a stop as his eyes fell ahead of them. She followed his gaze to see Bishop, Natalie, and Heather. A smile graced the young woman's lips and she began to walk towards them, but Ray grabbed her wrist.
"What are you-"
He slapped a hand over her mouth and tugged her down so they were crouching behind a car that was parked not too far from them. "Shut up," Ray mumbled as he peeked his head around.
