Just like a line
From the kept
Pages of an old
Book, lies here
An unspoken
Devotion.

In this poem,
I hid my
Unfathomable
Love and affection
Unsaid, unheard,
Hard to say.

I don't have the
Courage yet to
Tell you how much
I'm in love with you.
I don't have enough
Confidence to show
You how I adore you.

But, if you please,
Give me a little
Time, can you listen
To my heartbeat?
It no longer beats
To pump blood but
In excitement, of
Hearing about you
You could be my
Greatest mistake
If loving you
Secretly is a sin.

However, this is
Something I couldn't
Fathom, the love I
Feel for you is something
Too intense, strong and
Irrevocable.

You can hurt me through
This feeling, but pain
Would be pleasurable
For me if it's you who's
Causing it, insanity
Might it be, scary they say,
Indeed, it is.

But I assure you,
This is pure and healthy
If you wished me to stop
I won't but I'll tell you
I gladly would
So there's nothing you
Should worry.

After all, your comfort
Matters because love
Shouldn't be manipulative
Shouldn't be stressful
But enjoyable, despite
The worries it bring
And problems it may
Cause you, love should
Be free and lenient.

And so are you and
So am I.
