"Alright, I've got to head off now. It was nice meeting you all and Lane, thank you for the invitation to tonight's game." Riley says to us before putting his coat on. "No problem. Glad you could make it!" I reply. "Drive safe man and we'll see you tomorrow." Chris says as they do their bro shake.

Once Riley had left, we got back to standing around and talking. "What time is your game tomorrow?" Matthew asks. "It's at 4pm. Why?" I reply. "Eel mom told me that they were going to your game and since I don't have a game until next Wednesday, I figured I'd stay in town for the weekend and come out to your game." He replies. "Well good thing I set aside an extra ticket for you." I smile.

When we got back to the apartment, I got changed into a pair of sweats and a black Leafs hoodie Mason had given me when he first became a Leaf. "I'm going over to Chris's place. I'll be back in a bit." I say as I grab my phone off the island. "Okay." Mason replies before turning back to the replay highlights from around the sports world.

I quietly knock on Chris's apartment door before I hear footsteps getting closer. When he opens the door, he smiles at me and I can't help but notice he's shirtless and wearing gray sweats. I step inside and he closes the door behind me as my gaze is still focused on his bare chest.

"Am I distracting you? Do I have to go put a shirt on?" I hear him chuckle as the blood rises to my cheeks. "Um no I - I'm good. Sorry." I reply a little embarrassed that I was caught staring at his toned six pack.

"Don't apologize, I think it's cute when you blush like that." He says which makes me blush even more. I cover my face as he laughs. "Come here." He says pulling my hands away from my face and bringing me in close to him for a hug.

We're sitting down on the couch cuddling and watching a movie when I ask. "Did my parents scare you tonight with all their questions?" He looks down at me with furrowed eyebrows. M
"Actually no they didn't. Your dad's really nice and he says you told them a lot about me." Chris replies.

Oh God! Of course my dad would tell him that!

I feel my cheeks flush pink again and reply "I mean, they asked me a bunch of questions when I moved back out here so a few things may have slipped." I smile nervously as he lets out a small laugh.

"When do I get to meet your family?" I ask. "Possibly tomorrow after our game. If my parents aren't working." He replies. Chris pulls me closer to him as I place my arm around his torso and my other one falls gently on his chest as we go back to watching the movie.

The next morning, I wake up in an unfamiliar place. I look around the room and realize that I'm still at Chris's place. I never made it home after the movie because I fell asleep on the couch.

"Morning Sunshine!" Chris says appearing from the hallway in the same pair of sweats he had on last night, his Marlies hoodie now covering his chest. "Did I - ?" I begin to ask as he cuts me off.

"Yes, you fell asleep halfway through the movie and I didn't want to wake you up so instead I covered you with the blanket before I went to bed. And yes don't worry, I told Mason you were still here asleep on the couch." He says.

"I made some breakfast. Did you want some?" Chris asks before taking a sip from his coffee. "Um yeah sure." I smile before letting out a small yawn.

I'm glad that Chris feels the same way as I do and we're not really rushing into things right away. I know that we've only been dating for a couple of days now and he's already met my family before even going on our first official date. But there's just something about this relationship that we've got going that makes a part of me believe that he's the one.

"Want to carpool into work this afternoon? I'll drive." He asks snapping me out of my thoughts and back to reality. "Yeah, sure. I'll make sure to be ready at 2:45." I reply as he sets a plate down in front of me. "This looks good!" I say as he sits next to me at the island. "Well let's hope that it tastes as good as it looks." He grins.

"I'm sure it will." I reply before taking a bite from my home fries he put on my plate. "I'm not much of a big cook so don't lie to me!" He says. I take a drink from my glass of water before I reply. "What are you saying? It's really good and that's not a lie!" I exclaim smiling at him.

"Ready for work?" Chris asks as I step out into the hall and lock the door to my apartment. I look over at Chris who's wearing a burgundy suit and a white dress shirt that was unbuttoned at the top. "Yep, all ready to go!" I reply as I walk towards him.

He takes a look at the black jumpsuit I'm wearing with a silver belt sitting on my waist. "Wow, look at you gorgeous!" He says draping his arm around me. "You don't look so bad yourself hot shot!" I reply, the blush finding its way back to my cheeks as the butterflies flutter around in my stomach.

"Well, you'll get to meet my dad and sister after the game today. My mom had to go into work early so she can't make it." Chris says once we're in the elevator. "Morgan's gonna love you! She's literally one of your biggest fans." He smiles as the elevator doors open, revealing the parking garage.

"Good to know!" I smile as he takes my hand in his and we walk towards his parking space. "You know, I'm actually excited to meet them." I say once we get to his car. "Good cause they're pretty excited to meet you too." He smiles as he opens the passenger side door for me.

When we arrive inside the locker room, music is blasting and the boys are all doing their own thing. "Hey, there's my best friend!" Jace says as I take a seat at my stall. "What's going on Delsey?" He asks taking a seat next to me.

"Not much, just trying to get into the zone for the game." I say as I begin to make sure all my equipment was accounted for. "Oh and I'm meeting Chris's dad and sister after the game tonight." I add. "How you feeling about that?" He asks.

"Honestly pretty excited but a small part of me is also nervous." I say looking at him with a slightly worried expression on my face. "Don't worry Dels, they're going to love you! How can someone not love you? You're such a kind hearted, caring and beautiful girl." Jace smiles pulling me into a side hug. "Thanks Jace." I smile slightly.

"Now get ready cause we've got some Belleville butt to kick tonight!" He smiles widely before getting up to finish getting himself ready for the game as I prepare myself to do the same.
