Never Forget

Look at the stars up in the sky,

Shining down from on high.

Each glistening point is one of your friends,

Sticking with you until the end.

Look at the sand grains at your feet,

For miles and miles never missing a beat.

Each grain joining together as one,

Forming a strong foundation for you to stand on.

Look at the music notes on a piece of paper,

Each one a friendly voice for you to hear later.

Memories, phrases and quotes,

Create the river on which to float.

Look at the animals in the grasslands,

Try and count them all on one hand.

They stay in groups, flocks and herds,

In order to pass on the savannah word.

Look at the camera you hold in your fingers,

Scroll through images of times that linger.

A smile, a hug, a group shot, a park.

It always hurts to be apart.

Look inside your own Wonderland,

In which your friends forever stand.

Feel free to have tea with us all,

After that legendary rabbit hole fall.

Never forget your crazy journey,

That you never expected to see.

Because in England some slightly mad few,

Will never forget the time they spent with you.
