The stabbing pain woke you up. The pain seared from the back of your head all the way down your feet. You grunted as you used your hands to push yourself up in your bed. "Hey- Woah. Be careful Y/N." Reiner ran towards you as you sat up and looked over at him.

"You're lucky you're not in the hospital." He chuckled as he pointed at all the bandages wrapped around you. "Did Jean-" You didn't finish your sentence, noticing Reiner nodding his head. "Yeah. We were shocked when he showed up. What were you thinking being so careless?" Reiner placed you in a headlock and ruffled your hair.

"Ow. Ow." You winced as the pain in your head got worse. "Jeez I'm sorry. I guess I have to be gentle with you." Reiner stood up and began to walk out of your room. "Oh. I almost forgot. You have some visitors." Reiner smiled as he peeked out of your door and footsteps came rushing towards your room.

The first person you saw was Armin. His blonde hair bounced as he came skipping into the room. Right behind him was Mikasa, holding a bundle in her hands. Lastly, was Eren. He looked bored as he shuffled into the room. "You're awake!" Armin's smile spread across his face as he sat at the end of your bed.

"Are you doing okay?" Mikasa placed the bundle down next to your bed and sat next to Armin. "Yeah I'm fine. Just a bit sore." You rubbed your forehead and looked around at your friends. You felt fingers wrap around your wrist. You winced as you looked over to Eren. He turned your wrist in his hand and looked at the blood stained bandages.

"What made your jump in front of that car?" Eren raised his eyebrows as he looked down at you. "Well I don't think the car say Jean, and it was about to hit-" "You jumped in front of a car for that guy?" Eren scoffed as he laid your hand down and sat down on the floor.

Mikasa glared at Eren as Armin patted your leg. "Don't worry. We're just glad you're alright." Armin smiled and pointed to the bundle. "Mikasa and I made you some coconut cookies." Armin nudged Mikasa and she bent over to pick up the bundle. She untied the knot at the top to reveal the small box of cookies.

Mikasa placed the box on your lap and you reluctantly opened it. "Thank you so much, but you guys didn't need to." You took one of the cookies and shoved it in your mouth. "I mean, being out for two days, you must be hungry." Mikasa smiled as she grabbed a cookie herself.

You stopped chewing as your eyes widened. You turned to Reiner, who was still standing in the doorway. "Two days?" He nodded his head and shifted away from the door frame. "I'll be back." Reiner waved to everyone as he disappeared in the doorway.

"Y/N. You do know that Jean has skipped school the past two days to look after you, right?" Mikasa leaned in and pointed to the small note that was placed on your nightstand. You leaned over and peeled the note from the wood.

Take it easy when you wake up, Bugeyes.

I owe you one. But for now, don't go running in

front of anymore cars.

"Why would he look after me, he's normally a dick." you shook your head as you set the note back down on your bed. "Yeah, well maybe he just feels bad." Armin shrugged his shoulders as he stuffed a cookie in his mouth. "Apparently Sasha came over to drop off some bakery stuff and she found Jean watering your plants." Mikasa giggled as she looked over at the row of plants sitting on your windowsill.

"Really?" You smiled as you looked at the healthy plants. "I've got to go. Glad to see your well." Eren patted your head as he stood up and walked out of the room. "Don't mind him. He's been really stressed since you got hit." Mikasa stood up from the bed and Armin followed her.

"Enjoy the cookies. We can't wait to see you at school!" Armin waved goodbye as he and Mikasa left the room. You let out a sigh and relaxed in your bed. You didn't have much time to close your eyes before your phone buzzed on your nightstand. You slowly reached over and grabbed the phone.

You almost dropped it when you read the name that popped up on your phone. Jean. Not just "Jean" though. The name that was at the top of the messages was "Jean <3".
