Bruce got off the bike, closing the distance between us. Nat and I still scarred from the incident on the Helicarrier, stayed back.

"So, this all seems horrible," Bruce grimaces at his surroundings.

"We've seen worse," Natasha says, speaking for us both.

Banner seemed genuinely remorseful, "Sorry."

"No," I stopped him, "We could use a little a worse," I told him, before holding my hand up to my earpiece, "Stark, we've got your boyfriend back."

"Banner?" He said, sounding both surprised and relieved.

"Just like you said," Steve smiled to himself.

"Wait a minute," I said taken aback, "Did you just admit you're in love with Dr. Banner?"

"No."

"But I said he was your boyfriend you didn't deny it..."

"I don't need to deny it. I know it's not true..."

"Hmm," I hummed not believing him, "Something tells me looking for the Tesseract wasn't the only thing you two were doing in that lab."

"Just tell him to suit up. I'm bringing the party to you."

Soon, we spot Tony flying out from behind a building and over towards us, the huge Chitauri Leviathan following close behind him.

"I-I don't see how that's a party," Natasha reviewed.

"That's where you're wrong, Romanoff," I informed her, "The party's never good if there isn't a fight."

Steve stepped forward towards Banner, "Now might be a really good time for you to get angry," he suggested.

Bruce smirked, "That's my secret, Captain. I'm always angry," he says before immediately morphing into the Hulk and stopping the Leviathan with one punch.

The built-up momentum caused the Chitauri Leviathan to flip over, tail first, heading straight for us.

Tony tried to stop it by blasting a missile into its body, sending pieces of metal flying to the ground towards the rest of us. Steve was quick to tuck me and Natasha underneath his shield to guard us against the falling debris.

The Chitauri Leviathan, now dead, falls to the ground, angering the Chitauri soldiers who screech with rage. Hulk didn't hesitate to roar back at them, while the group formed a circle, covering a 360-degree visual field.

Tony lowered himself to the ground, Clint readied a bow and arrow, Thor twisted his hammer around in his fist, Natasha reloaded her pistol, Steve tightened the shield around his forearm and I whipped my air-blade out and flipped it in my hand, waiting for further instructions.

I look up at the portal to see more Chitauri Leviathan swimming through the portal and down into the streets, "Holy shit, there's more," I croaked.

"Guys..." Natasha said once she'd also seen what I had seen.

"Call it, Cap," Tony said, giving Steve the responsibility of planning the next moves.

"Alright, listen up. Until we can close that portal up there, our priority is containment," he began, "Barton, I want you on that roof, eyes on everything. Call out patterns and strays. Stark, you got the perimeter. Anything gets more than three blocks out, you turn it back, or your turn it to ash."

"Thor, you've gotta try and bottleneck that portal. Slow them down. You've got the lightning. Light the bastards up."

"The three of us, we stay here on the ground, keep the fighting here," Cap said to Natasha and I before turning to the hulk, "And Hulk...smash."
