It's been a year since I brought the kids home from Paris. It's been 8 years. Sa tagal na panahon na lumipas marami nang nag-bago. Isa na ako dun.

Hapon palang ay nandito na sa cafe si Yara. She dropped out of med school a few years ago to pursue law.

I actually thought I was lucky because my parent's weren't that controlling. But I actually wish it was them who made plans for me, dahil sa dami ng plano ko sa buhay ang pag-aaral ko ang pinaka magulo.

But how would they control me if they were already dead? The last thing about life that I heard from my mom was... "Piliin mo ang gusto mo."

Paano kung marami?

The time that I realized I didn't have a dream was when I was an incoming senior. I was good at digital designing, but I was scared because I wasn't good at drawing on paper.

I wanted to become a model and I was good at socializing and I could say that I'm approachable, but I don't think I'll be able to take things seriously if I make a mistake. Baka una pa 'kong tumawa.

In the end I ended up studying medical technology. Although it wasn't for me. I passed my board exam but I wasn't into my course.

Ito ako ngayon, isang may-ari ng coffee shop.

I always dreamed of putting up a coffee shop where you can chill and study. Binili ko ang katabing pwesto at pinagisa na sila.

"Ano oras daw dating nila Rancii?" Tanong ko. "Maya maya andito na siguro yun,"

I was short on staff for that day kaya iniwan ko muna si Yara para maka-tulong sa pag-punas ng mga table. Huli ko na pinunasan ay ang table sa tabi ni Yara.

"Azi, wag kang titingin pero..may kasama si Pierre." Mahinang bulong niya habang naka-tingin sa menu na baliktad naman.

Nababasa niya yun?

Umiling ako at lumingon parin. Ay tanga! Dapat talaga nakinig ako!

"Antigas naman ng ulo!" Inis na bulong niya at inismiran ako.

"Sensya na, tao lang!"

"Azi..." Mahinang tawag ni Pierre. Nilingin ko siya na naniningkit ang mga mata. He really decided to bring his cousin here.

"Nice to see you today, Pierre. I didn't know you had friends coming..." I tried to make it look like I didn't know who he was with.

"I-Uh..right! No! They're not my friends, this is Vitto my cousin and Ryz." I smiled at the girl.

"Ito ba ung girlfriend mo Pierre?" She asked in an excited tone. She tried to pull me close for a cheek-to-cheek kiss but I immediately stopped her.

And second of all, ew. Girlfriend ni Pierre? Seriously this boy is like my brother.

"I'm the girlfriend." Said Yara who was suddenly beside me. Her hands were crossed as she silently judged the girl. I know that look better than anyone.

This is awkward.

Dahil kay Yara ay hindi ko rin naawat ang sarili ko na tignan si Ryz. They look good. Mas bagay nga sila. Pareho sila ng pinanggalingan.

Nang madapo ang mata ko kay Vitto ay may kakaibang ngiti siya sa mukha niya na tila ba sinasabing "Andito ako at hindi mo ako mapapa-alis". Sarap sapakin.

Ryzel was trying to small talk Yara. She was subtly observing me but my lilith is in leo and I know when I have someone's attention.

"Balik na kami sa table namin." Aya ni Yara. "Uh..yeah. Order anything it's on the house."
